Such a Good Gift I Bought Another for Myself and More for My Family
BLUF: Get your atheist friends to listen to stories about the Bible, get your religious friends to drink with your atheist friends, make fun of your agnostic friends with your atheist/religious friends, make great memories [and mistakes].I don't have anything to say about this other than that everyone I've gifted this to has loved it, religious or not. The presentation is great and sits well on a kitchen shelf or wherever else you keep books in your home and hardly looks out of place next to my hardcover copy of "Lives of the Saints".

Good recipes and stories
When I am unsure what to drink for the night, I always consult the book. There’s a different drink (and Saint) for every day. Some have mixed drinks and beers and wines.

Interesting, informative, and funny!
I absolutely love this book! It all starts with the beautiful binding and print quality. The paper is heavy, and the whole book is very aesthetically pleasing. Beyond its physical quality, it is also a fascinating and fun way to approach your home bar. The descriptions of each saint/feast day are informative, but also readable and funny! I have found myself just reading it for fun because it's so interesting. Michael Foley clearly did his research, but every description also reflects the humorous mindset with which this book was created. I love learning some of the saints' stories, and also the clever ways he connects them with the recommended beverages. I bought it as a gift for my mom, and we have both enjoyed the cocktails as well as the book itself. A total winner! In case anyone is wondering, there isn't a drink for EVERY day of the liturgical year, but most or many.

A sinner who appreciates Saints and adult beveages by the book--- buy the book ---
If I don't become a Saint I at least can drink with them ! This book makes me glad to be Catholic and wannabe saint. Every bartender must have this book . Cliff Claven must be the authors brother in law !I have a new appreciation for saints and discovered faith in action by real people doing some real good living . The book would make a great gift for anyone who appreciates the joyfulness of saints and the celebration of life with a unique collection of libations, Pick your favorite saint and a perfect drink makes a perfect excuse for a toast.I think I will have a Big Bad Wolf to toast Saint Francis .I'm one sinner who enjoyed discovering real saints and will remember them fondly with drink in hand

Clever gift
My grandson was pleased (and likely relieved) to learn that this wasn’t a stuffy book of saints’ stories, but a great collection of DRINK RECIPES!

Drinking with the Saints is keepsake for those who love delicious cocktails
This book is so much more than I anticipated. Drinking with the Saints is keepsake for those who love delicious cocktails, the Church and life in general! It's beautifully illustrated, witty, reverent, easy to reference, and a full education in the saints all in one impressive book. We've already tried the Brittany and the Merry Widow and not only were the stories interesting but the cocktails were definitely top of the line. The cocktails...we take these things seriously around here! There are plenty of original drinks, combined with traditional classics, which any home bartender can master and enjoy - and impress his friends. One of my favorite parts? The toasts! So go ahead, invite some friends over for an upcoming feast day, test out the drink and start a Drinking with the Saints cocktail club. Well, done, Michael Foley. We're looking forward to the app and more drinks!
