If you havent' already upgraded your points ignition to this then what are you waiting for ? It's pretty easy to install and good riddance to the points . And if you ever want to go back to points you can . One word of advice here : the instructions say to use the same hole to screw down the optical trigger that held the points down. In my case this was absolutely not true . And when you think of the length of a set of points they're longer than the trigger unit so naturally your car will be out of time . Make sure that you have your distributor set at whatever your timing is , say 12 degrees before TDC. You can use the LED light on the module to confirm that the optical trigger is in the correct position and then , if necessary, drill a new hole in the advance plate . When I did this my Corvair started right up and has been running great since.

This product works as advertised. However, the install directions leave some to be desired. They are pretty vague and even outright wrong at times. You will need to be able to figure it out on your own!

Purchased the original one four years ago. Warranty said lifetime but when I filed a claim after it failed they told me that the warranty was only one year. I told him I had the instructions from the first unit that said lifetime but he told me that was wrong.:-(.
