Cultivate to your hearts content
This cultivator (no wheels) has really surprised me and has made a great job of opening up sections of compacted earth, with a lot of fibrous ivy roots etc. below the surface. You should remove any tangled roots & weeds close to the gearbox to ensure it gets the chance to churn up the earth without overheating, but I’ve used it for 5 solid days to clear a rough, overgrown section of land and it’s performed really well, so I’d say that’s a great purchase. Pros Inexpensive, yet a good quality unit Easy to assemble Light weight but sturdy Easy to control, yet has enough power to drive itself forward Reasonable cable length, but will require a suitable, safe extension Cons It’s electric, so mind that cable The gearbox gets hot, so it’s worth letting it cool off now & again

Quality item
Quality product at a competitive price. Used it to remove some turf and replace the grass with decorative chippings. Did the job with ease. Only negative is the power cord which gets in the way but the price you pay for paying a lot less than for a petrol or rechargeable type. Would recommend.

More than impressed
Bought to replace an old and finally died machine and for use in a relatively long and intended garden. The blades work well and loosens well compacted soil, even heaving buried house bricks etc out of the way mostly with ease. As with everything out of the box it is a few bolts and 5 minutes to put together and away you go. Definitely value for money, light, easy to use and time will tell on it's longevity. The real bottom line is it makes spade work a hell of a lot easier.

Highly Recommended. As powerful as petrol versions, if not moreso.
I have to say that I was initially sceptical about buying an electric rotovator/tiller over a petrol one, but this took was extremely powerful. It turned over heavily weeded soil in seconds and extracted bricks, large stones and roots with ease. Heavy, sturdy construction and easy to use. Very pleased with the performance. Highly recommended.

Very impressive
I'm really impressed with this tiller, especially considering the price. I have very dense, clay filled soil and I was using this to turn the remnants of a lawn, ready to be re-turfed. Despite all the clay and roots, and patchy old turf, it didn't falter. I had to stop every now and then to unwrap long grass and roots, but even after prolonged periods of use, it just kept turning. My garden is 4mx5m and it suited well. I dare say you could till larger areas with ease. Easy to assemble too.

Excellent Tiller
Amazing machine. Easy to use and easy to assemble. Assembly took about 3 minutes. I got this in view of re-turfing the front lawn, but before I started I did a test under my son’s swing in the back garden. (See pics) I needn’t have worried, the tiller did exactly what I wanted it to do. Initially I skimmed over the top and all of the old grass and roots got ripped out without pulling up loads of soil which was easy to rake off into the wheelbarrow. Then the tiller was slightly more angle to dig up and breakdown the soil with absolute ease. There was no need for a topsoil dressing as the soil was very good anyway, a quick level off and the test patch was finished and fitted in around 5 minutes. In comparison the last picture is a small patch I cleared by hand to lay turf which from start to finish took me 4 hours, this tiller would have had me finished in 20 minutes. I’d highly recommend this tiller. I’d estimate my front lawn clearing will take me less than an hour. I’m so impressed with the ease of use I will also be doing the back lawn in the autumn. A++++ for this Tiller.

Great piece of hardware
Done a great work in my gardens. Took about two hours to do 20 square metres. Strong enough to cut some roots and dig out some pebbles and hard soil. Would definitely recommend!

Worth the money
Bought to churn up the garden. Wasn't expecting too much as it seemed cheap but as long as you hold on tight it really does the job. Roots do.get caught up a bit on the tines but easy to detailed.
