We sourced the finest coco fiber & blended it with our 100% recycled, 100% American made grow stones. What we created is a mix that can't be matched. Growstone GS-3 coco mix is a mixture of grow stones, coco coir & redwood fiber with added mycorrhizae. It's by far the best coco coir mix available on the market. This mix was specially designed for heavy feeding plants in re-circulating hydroponic systems or run-to-waste container gardens with a Unique air-to-water ratio throughout the root zone, allowing for more frequent feedingper day with no risk of root rot.

The good part - my wheatgrass grew amazingly fast
The good part - my wheatgrass grew amazingly fast. The bad part - the soil was infested with fungus gnats! From the small planting area now they've expanded to the rest of the apartment and annoyed family and guests. Now I'm spending a lot of time trying to clear out their infestation. I'm trying a mix of nematodes, neem oil spray, and yellow sticky traps. If that doesn't work then I will have to cover my house plants with sand. I really don't want to do that since I have a lot of mosses that would suffer from the excess dryness.I still plan to use the rest of the bag but have to sterilize it now by baking it in a sheet in the oven for 20 minutes at 300 degrees in order to kill anything inside.

Good product, way overpriced. Same product available for less elsewhere.
I'm going to to give it a 3 because it's not bad but there's better out there for better prices. Like you've likely noticed in other reviews by now, this bad is mostly rock which is the thing of coco mix #3, this is your choice. If you want more coco, go #4 and up. Now to the product, it's of good quality and great for drainage so if you're going soiless, it's good. This was my first attempted at going soiless so I made mistakes and learned from them. If you're going number 3, here's my advice: water frequently/as often as it is dry, respect your nutes schedule, and provide your plants with the appropriate ventilation. Otherwise you will find yourself running around trying to figure out whether you have heat, root, or nute issues and well, you prob have a bit of it all.As for the price, this product is absolutely overpriced. You can get 42 liter growstone at a local shop for $23 dollar. Yup, 42 liter for $23 when this is 9 liters for the same price which is absurd. Good product, way overpriced listing.
