Holt Mathematics Course 1, Numbers to Algebra: California : Bennett, Jennie M., Burger, Edward B., Chard, David J., Jackson, Audrey L., Kennedy, Paul A.: desertcart.in: Books Review: Great book, very colorful. Lots of exercises. My son is only in 2nd grade, but good at math. This book is probably for a 5th or 6th grader I would guess. I don't think there are any other books better than this one for math. Review: This textbook was delivered promptly and was in very good condition. I like this bookseller and would certainly go back to them. As far as the nature of the book itself, it is logically and intelligently structured. I like it as much as I like the bookseller. Nevertheless, beware: this is a challenging textbook, one I would only recommend for a motivated, disciplined sixth grader, one who had already mastered elementary school arithmetic. The first two chapters of this book are a rather intense introduction to algebra. The next eight chapters are a concentrated, demanding review of all the aspects arithmetic. The eleventh and final chapter returns to algebra. Appropriate for honors classes or exceptional home schooled students only, in my opinion. Robert Hager Thousand Oaks, California

Needed a set of text books for my son at home. His backpack was way too heavy. Ordered him 4 text books. He has a set at school and a set at home. No more backpack weight problems.

I bought this book for my son so that he can get a head start over summer. Book arrived on time, and in new condition. He has finished 3 chapters. He hopes to finish the entire book before school start. Maybe he can skip a math grade.
