If you use this with a stove like an MSR that has a small burner the pan ...
If you use this with a stove like an MSR that has a small burner the pan will deform. Before my cross country bicycle trip I used it to test cook on our home gas stove and it worked well. But if you use it on a small burner, like msr camping stove it bows on the bottom and is no longer flat. I can still cook with it but it's a bit annoying.

Love it
I love this fry pan. I have been using it every day sense May 2018 on my stove to see how well this thing is going to hold up. I have used it plenty of times on cook fires and used metal forks with it. I haven't been genital with it at all and it has held up well. It still easy enough to clean with just a dry paper towel wipe down. Its thick enough to use it as part of your everyday stove top fry pan. The hand feels well made and doesn't feel cheep like most folding camp fry pans. I wouldn't call this an ultra light option. But its fine for them times when I can spare the weight, like a canoe trip or a hike to a base camp hunt/fishing trip. This thing will out preform any "ultra light" fry pan option when it comes to cooking. But if weight is something your worried about or how well you stack other cooking implements with it for condescend packability then this may not be what your looking for.

Out of the box review
Size purchased: 10"Intended use: RV Camping - Maybe some kayak camping from time to timeNote about product pictured: The pan shown in the photo (at the time I made my purchase), shows a handle attached by wing-nuts. The pan I received had a different, squeeze/clip-in handle.I purchased this pan to restock our gear since our camper (and everything in it) was stolen. I had used GSI products for years and had always been pleased with the quality and durability. Out of the box, this pan appears to be constructed of durable material, with a smooth non-stick finish (no nicks), and the rivets for the handle mount are even and flush, (so as not to gather food particles). I like the slope of the pan's sides, and the upward sweeping handle is well enough away from the heat source.Pros:* LOVE the non-stick coating! Its actually nicer than the pans I have in the house. Even eggs and cheese don't stick to it, and clean up is a breeze.Cons:* As mentioned above, the handle on the 10" pan I received was a wire snap in. So it is a little loose, but not horribly. Although I wish they would have sprung for a higher quality handle coating. The coating is merely a (silicone?) sleeve slid onto the wire. It is not adhered to the wire, and is quite loose. So even holding the pan by the handle while empty, it will roll side to side in your hand. Something to be aware of, especially when it is full of hot food.*The pan I received is a tad warped. It rocks a bit when sitting on a flat surface. Although the grooved bottom will give it some grip on some burners, I think the warp, combined with the larger size, makes it a poor choice for backpacking. Because of the warp, the pan doesn't heat as evenly as it should, so food in the middle of the warp cooks faster than the outer edges.

I love this pan, but be sure to take care of it!
This is a delicate non-stick pan. It scratches really really easily, so DEFINITELY take good care to use proper utensils with it and when cleaning it and it will do its job well. I take this pan camping and make eggs and pancakes just like at home! Even with one of those dual burner stoves (where the temp control is wicked hard to manage) it can cook up pancakes well without burning. It gets super hot very easily, but the non-stick is true to advertised. I love the compactness and portability of this stove. We got a cover bag for it to give it some extra protection when in transit camping, and that has worked out for us really well.

Light, strong, truly non-stick
Got 2 of them - one for camping and one for use at home.I did notice a slight warping on very high heat which went away after cool down. This did not bother me as there were so many more positive aspects of this cookware.- light - good for camping and for cooking so you can easily toss food without injury on wrist or arm- non-stick - great for crepes and eggs as well, makes cleanup a breeze- folding handlebar - saves space when packing- goes on campfire grill (handlebar covered in silicone case) as well as propane stove - versatile little thing! This cookware went with us on our road trip from Bay Area to Vancouver and back last year. It will travel again to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons this summer.

Received bent pan, very disappointed
I had purchased a GSI pot from REI several years ago. I've taken the pot with me on many backpacking trips. When I saw this GSI pan I knew I had to get it. I purchased the pan in March but I didn't open it or use it until June. On my first use, the pan would not stay flat on my rocket stove. My friend noticed that the pan was not even. Upon looking at it closer, I saw the pan definitely was not a rounded shape. One side of it looked bent in. This would explain why the pan would not sit flat on my rocket stove. I'm quite disappointed that this pan was even made available for sale. Had I seen how uneven the pan was earlier I would have returned it.

Fantastic Frying Pan!
This is a fantastic product! The quality is on par with my J.A. HENCKELS INTERNATIONAL skillet/frying pan set I purchased from Bed Bath & Beyond for $80.00 (on sale). I haven't had a chance to test it in the field just yet, but the Teflon coating looks to be the durable kind that will not easily scratch/peel off.FYI - mine came with the metal/rubber sealed handle that pinches and folds into the frying pan. Great design. Prefer this to the wingnut design some Amazon pictures depict. For reference and to avoid confusion, I purchased the 10-inch GSI Outdoors Pinnacle Frypan.

Powerhouse of a pan, camp kitchen necessities
I bought this pan after struggling with a Stanley camping kit pan on my camp stove. This pan was a pleasure to cook with and made quick work of each meal on a recent trip. It’s lightweight and takes up a minimal footprint in my camping kitchen tub. It seared steaks just as easily and effectively as it made light fluffy scrambled eggs. Clean up is hassle free and I will be buying the 8” in the immediate future.
