Great little backpack rod
Very nice for backpacking. Small and light, also has a very sturdy case.

Perfect!
This is half the size of a typical tenkara rod and is a bit contrary to the traditional tenkara experience. I purchased this because I wanted a durable rod to carry backpacking that I could use on crowded mountain streams. I found my 12 foot tenkara rod too cumbersome, getting snagged on every tree and limb on the narrow river banks. This allows me to easily catch small brook trout along the mountain trails.

Perfect for any pack
Packs down small enough to fit in any bag, extends just big enough to catch fish anywhere. Most bang for your buck I’ve seen in a long time.

I'm buying another one!
This is a great product. The overall feel of the rod is awesome! It's extremely light weight, yet durable. It casts great. I can finally comfortably fish the tight spots in the small creeks where the trout are hiding. I have already purchased a larger one to use in open areas. If you're thinking about it, buy it!

Nice and little
Works and is light. Can fit in saddle bag on enduro for riding and fishing the creek.

Great little rod!
Love this little thing. When I say little, it really is little but that’s the point carried around your pocket on a hiking trip. Be able to fish at a moments notice. Tara is a wonderful way to fish, and this would be a great entry rod for somebody that has access to small streams, get out there and get fishing

Compact lightweight for thru hiking
Great for small creeks, brooks, and streams that hold small trout and pan fish, easily maneuverable if the creeks have heavy cover. I've only used it as a compact collapsible cane pole, and have ate a lot of fish caught with it.

Arrived broken - poor quality control
Poor quality. This rod was delivered with a broken tip out of the box. The metal end was not glued and/or the two very tiny crimps placed in the metal to keep it in place are not sufficient to keep it on the rod end if you catch a fish with some weight. I'm disappointed with the poor quality and lack of quality control for the cost spent. Look elsewhere.
