The flag stand has a nice sharp point on the end of it that goes into the ground, which is made up of 2 stakes that looks like a lowercase "h" and glide easily into the ground with little effort. Just purchased another garden flag pole 2021: I loved the one I purchased in 2020 so much I decided to purchase another one. The pictures are of my 2020 garden flag pole, holding up well. FYI!!!!!! For those that said it still wrapped around your pole in very windy conditions and you would have to go out and unwrap the flag. I have the solution, I hang my flag on the top rung once you install through the slit in the rod. Then just make sure you cover the flag over the slit. In 30+ mph winds I have never had to go out to flip the flag. As you can see in my photos, it just flips from one side to the other as you can see in the photo that shows the bottom black rod. One year later my flag is still there and it has been through so mighty winds. Enjoy~First review I did in 2020: For 4 years I put up with my garden flags flipping up and over and getting stuck on the curved design of other stands. Also would get all scrunched up in one end because of the wind. This Amish iron stand is perfect, no more troubles at all. Matter of fact it is very windy today and it is staying put. I should have bought this years ago! I love it.

I have alot of RESPECT for the Amish People....I went on 1 of their tours once.....They are hard workers, old fashion, kind, and respectful.....They dont CUT CORNERS or put out cheap & pathetic products.......They craft with skill & quality....God Bless them......SORRY....But I just had 2 give a tribute....I admire them greatly......As far as the quality of this product???? I had bought so many garden flag poles in the past only to be disappointed with the quality and performance. I finally found one that is top quality made and does exactly what I was looking for. Can’t ever go wrong with hand crafted Amish made products. A little higher price but firm believer in you get what you pay for. I would buy this again for sure…love it!!

This is the best, sturdy and the flag won't come off or twist up on windy days. Very good.

I cringed at the price but it is so worth it. Flag cannot fly off in high wind but it can wrap itself around the top(we have a lot of wind here). I’ve experimented with different clips to keep in place but nothing works under all wind conditions.
