This book serial is originally in Japanese. It is one of the best selling kid illustration books in Japan. The version I got is a set of Soft cover, in simplified Chinese characters. The print is very clear and vivid color. The stories are fun and simple for 12-18 months old babies to understand. The paper is thicker than regular books, but it is still easy to tear. If you are looking for a Chinese study book (to learn the Chinese characters) these are not the books for you. If you simply want to read the story to your kid, these are not the right books for you because not much words in them. But if you are good with imagination and describe the story based on pictures, then these are the right type of books. You will need to be patient with the baby at the beginning. My son only started getting into the stories after he chewed threw half of the serial ~>_<~ but now when I say the bear takes a bath, my son will make bear sound "growl~" very cute! He starts to point to the animals, too and pay more attention to the animal pictures when I talk. The storyline is very repeatitive which is good for baby to menorize. Overall, I am very pleased with this set of books. Which they have a version that is harder to treat and chew....P.S) my favorite story is "who wet in bed?" When rabbit wet the bed, it is a carrot shape LOL, when cat wet the bed, it is a fish shape. That is so cute! Now when my son sees fish, he always say "Kat". That is such a smart way to link what these animals eat.

These are the best, simplified children's Chinese storybooks I've seen available on Amazon so far, especially to help motivate a non-native Chinese speaking baby to learn Chinese, so that's why the many stars! I should have taken pictures of the insides of the books, the characters are adorable and the first few books start with very short dialogue sentences, Ex: How are you, (name)? I'm fine/good. And other sentences. As you move down toward book #15, the sentences get a little longer, but the child after much practice, will likely to slowly read on their own.I am definitely considering in buying these again to help my baby nephew be motivated to learn Chinese!My only complaint is that the characters (words) were in larger size, so they are easier to see for both the child and reader, as I'm seeing most of these children Chinese storybooks and other types of books also have small sized text.Also, what would be wonderful if these came with audio files, so those who can't read the simplified Chinese in these books can help their children practice.Perhaps there is not as great demand as of yet from native and non-native Chinese speakers in wanting baby graded Chinese storybooks.

My little one love those books and she learned good habits from it.

Chinese is our minority language in the house and I'm constantly trying to teach my daughter Chinese. These books are great for toddlers. The lines are very repetitive so it's easy for young kids to understand. The stories are simple, fun, and applicable. There is a book about cleaning up and I just repeat the phrase to my daughter and remind her that it is good to clean up. I do wish that it had pinyin so it is easier to read. There are words I can't read so it's difficult to figure out.

I bought this when my son was 1. Now he is 2.5 years old. We still read this (any 2 of them) every night.He can repeat some of the sentences in the book. I love the way it has very few sentences only. And, the storyline is highly related to our daily life.

This book collection is absolutely lovely!I bought these books for my Chinese nanny to read to my 9 month old baby. She reads them often and they both seem to enjoy it.I cannot read Chinese myself, but the book illustrations are so pretty and simple that sometimes I make up stories based on them, so I "read" them as well. The stories are about routine things such as taking a bath, going to the bathroom, playing with friends, a birthday party, etc.The collection arrived pretty fast, much sooner than what Amazon had informed.The only negative of the collection is that the pages are thin (like regular paper and unlike some kids books that have thick pages). This set instantly became my 2-year-old’s favorite. For two weeks now she’s been bringing them to me to read everyday. I even caught her reading them by herself a few times. I like that each book is simple and very relatable to her daily activities.

Our baby loves reading these books! They’re super cute, have lots of repetition, and cover day-to-day activities like sleeping, brushing teeth, showering, friends, lunch, and going on walks. We love this set so much!

This should be a great book for kids. I bought it with the intention of helping my grandkid to learn Chinese. Unfortunately I received only two of the 15 books. The seller immediately gave me full refund after knowing the issue. I was told to keep the two books.

Books are ok. It s suitable for young babies with simple storyline and simple pictures.

Fantastic books, i really enjoyed reading them. Only issue was the font was a little strange and made some characters a bit confusing, but that might be because i am not a native reader of Mandarin. Other then that they were perfect.

I read to our little one everyday. He doesn't understand yet but loves looking at the pictures. The text and concept is simple but completely in Chinese, which we like.

Great book series for little kids ( either native chinese speakers or kids to learn chinese) Super cute, simple and realistic.I bought them for my 5months old, she doesn’t understand them now but i will keep reading these to her. Strongly recommend!
