Q: Can this treadmill be activated without a smart phone, tablet or router?

iFit will try to get you to "Activate" this machine, but don't fall for it. Once you place the magnetic 'key' on the console, all you need to do is hold down the Bluetooth button for about 30 seconds (mine took about 20) and then the machine will go into manual mode, and it's all yours without being blackmailed into registering it on the iFit website. Clever of WESLO not to give you these instructions in the manual. Deceptive would be a better word. And unless you really want to shell out $15/month, it's not really necessary. Just start using the machine. Take it for a spin.....start with one of the canned programs, or just start walking at 1mph and increase your speed using the '+' button, and the speed goes up one tenth of a mile with each '+'. I started at 2mph, and gradually went up a tenth at-a-time to where I am now at 3mph. Oh, and I just got it 2 days ago. Ciao.

I just assembled a Weslo crosswalk 5.2t. It says go to ifit.com/activate before it will run. The net says I can run in manual mode without activation. I turn it on and it says "hello" that's all. How do I get it to run. I don't have a smart phone or tablet. I'm an old man.
