Great and entertaining for Meyer's Parrot-sized birds
I'm not going to say your bird won't be afraid of it, but my meyer's parrot was curious and interested in this plastic foraging device as soon as it was in his line of sight. It took him some time to learn and understand how it works, but a few months later he is very adept at one particular door and must fidget with the others to get his special treat. One door gives him problems, but he's working on it. Even when the doors are all open and empty, he sometimes likes to come over and chew on it. Your bird might be afraid of the object, because it can be rather intimidating and large, so I would introduce the toy slowly and invite your bird to come over and play with it. The best way to teach the bird how to open the doors on its own is through demonstration. Put your bird's favorite treat inside and allow them to try for a while, then when they give up, show them how the door opens and give them the treat. Do this until you can eventually escalate to opening the door, tempting them with the treat, then closing the door again for them to figure out. I also found that, because my meyer's was very young when I got the forager, he wasn't strong enough to open the doors yet, so I recommend leaving the doors slightly ajar so your bird understands that it is possible to open the doors on their own. Practice makes perfect!

Our Caique Loves This
The foraging toy is sturdy, easy to install and easy to remove for cleaning or re-positioning in the cage. By the second day it was obvious our caique loves this toy. When treats/food are placed into a the chambers, he rushes to the toy. He even places parts of other shredded toys into the chambers. The chamber wheel spins so the chambers are in a slightly different position. Not sure about other size birds. The toy will work well for caiques, conures, quakers. Not familiar enough with larger birds.

Good foraging toys for bigger birds (and some smaller ones)
This was purchased for my two clever cockatiels. To use this toy, I place some bird safe, paper based cat litter to prop up the treats as its quite deep for a cockatiel to stand on top and then put their heads in each compartment. After a few months of use, they are able open up each compartment (except one-explained below) when each one has been left open a fraction as the door compartments are stiff. As they are small birds, they have to stand on top of the carousel, which is okay, except one of the compartments has the hinge on the inside (so it opens away from the toy) and when they walk on top it closes so they can't get into it anymore. There are perch like corners, but the cockatiels are too small to stand on this and get treats from the boxes.I was a bit worried given its size that it would spin and the cockatiels would get stuck, so they don't use this toy when I am not home. However, there has been no incidents and I don't think they are physically able to spin it.Overall this is a well made toy and keeps my cockatiels entertained. However, it is made for bigger birds. I didn't give this 5 stars because although its a great toy, I think there could be some improvements to its construction and its a pain to clean.

Great FUN for the birds! Love everything but the cage attachment part.
I already have one for my Congo African Grey and he loves to forage through it and the area he plays with has held up great. When I got my Timneh I wanted to get him one to see if he would enjoy it as well. The only thing I don’t like about this treasure box of fun is the connection to the cage because it breaks fairly easy. When the back broke on the first one I was very disappointed, but I moved it low in the cage and rig-ragged it to somehow work. I gave it 4 stars because it has withstood my baby which isn’t easy to do.

My sun conure thought this was an evil monster sent to kill her
My sun conure has the Creative Foraging Systems Wheel already, and she loves it. Even after several years, she hasn't grown bored with it. This toy, on the other hand, was not well-received. First off, it doesn't seem to hang perfectly straight on the wall of the cage. Some of the doors wouldn't stay shut.Still, I gave it a try and put my bird's favorite treats in the doors that WOULD close. Unfortunately, she decided that this toy was actually a monster sent to kill her, and she cowered in the opposite corner of the cage until I realized I would never get her to like this thing. This is AFTER I let the toy sit near her cage for several days (so she could get used to seeing it). I ended up sending this back. Between the faulty doors that wouldn't stay shut and the fact that it was inflicting psychological torture on my bird, I didn't see any reason to keep it.
