This is a good product and it solved my HL-4150CDN problem. However, the reset drum life instructions that are bundled in the box and the instructions on the internet did not work for me. Here is the method that worked for me:HL-4150CDN Drum reset instructions:a. With the printer in 'Ready' status, press the GO and UP ARROW key at the same time.b. 'Reset Parts Life' will appear on the LCD. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select Drum Unit. Press OK.c. Press the UP ARROW key to reset the drum unit counter. Display will show 'Accepted' and the machine will return to 'Ready'.I wish the consumable parts didn't fail prematurely on these products. My toner fails early as well. This makes me a cranky consumer and makes me choose and recommend other products.

Very easy to install in our CDW-7900. Has worked great so far and don’t expect any issues.

The printer notified me that the Drum needed to be replaced as it had reached its intended life. The new Brother brand Drum fit perfectly. The printing is now much clearer and colors are more vibrant.

SO ... I bought this drum unit as a last resort. I have had a MFC 9460CDN since they first came out about 10 years ago.. Use it everyday! I switched printer cartridge's to save money ... and well somewhere along the way a part... (a really small part) in the original broke rendering the printer useless. In a panic I ordered a newer version of the printer MFC-3710... which took a few days to get delivered. In the meantime I started to play around with the old printer and found the broken piece (in the Drum) well consider they no longer make the 9460 finding parts was close to impossible until I stumbled across this company! I ordered the new drum and with in a day I had the new part and the printer was up and running better than before... The only problem I now have a new printer (MFC-3710) that is still in the box... NOW WHAT?

Saying I love it sounds weird, it's a great machine I use it for and it said it needed the drum. Why did it need the drum? I don't know. But to keep the nice machine happy, it got one. Obviously this is the Brother brand, so you get what you ask for. Just make sure you buy it for the correct model. Would buy again when needed. Better price than a name brand supply store.

As an original component, this part slips perfectly and easily into its bay inside the printer. This Broter printer is extremely reliable. In 4 years of service it has never miss-fed a paper sheet. Naturally, the printer stopped alarming: "replace the drum" and returned to normal operation . On the negative side: this component is rather expensive. Moreover, the printer demanded the drum's replacement though the printed pages quantity has not reached the regular replacement volume.

On some of the MFC-940CDN models, option 4 on the reset menu does not exist.There is a second reset known as the "9 & 3" reset, however, it only works in certain circumstances.1. Make sure the printer is in the "Home Screen" it should say sleep, and the Copy counter is set to 01. If the number of copies is not 01, this will not work! (See first picture)Press buttons 3 and 9 together and hold for 2 seconds, and the reset screen should appear. If the copy counter changes to 3 or 9, it did not work, so press clear and try again.Timing is really tricky on this but eventually you will get it to work.
