Pros:- beautiful glass globe with etched map (not sure why people are saying the map looks like stickers/vinyl, it's definitely etched)- beautiful glasses with etched maps (not cheap, have some weight, seem like high quality glasses)- beautiful dark wood stand (feels like real wood)- the whole ensemble is very elegant looking, like it should be in a room full of leather bound booksCons:- the globe decanter is very small...the picture is a little misleading, as I thought it would be larger. It seems very close in size to the glasses, it's a little laughable when you put them next to each other (it does hold 750 mL though). I was expecting something closer to the size of a cantaloupe but this is barely the size of a grapefruit- the circular base at the bottom of the wooden holder is small, makes me nervous it could tip over (it hasn't of course). Obviously this is meant to sit in one place, and will be heavy when filled with liquid, but the design throws me off a little- I wish the glass of the globe was thicker. This would add some size, some weight, and make it feel higher quality. The globe decanter feels lighter than one of the drinking glasses, and the tip at the bottom that goes in the holder seems like it could break. I am always careful handling glass (especially filled with any liquor!) but this feels fragile. Most glass decanters are heavy, thick glass.Overall, I would have gladly paid more for a higher quality item (this was the only globe decanter I could find that didn't have a glass ship/plane inside of it, which I did not want). It's a great price (I paid $60) for a good LOOKING item, but it feels slightly cheap. To me this should have been more in the $30-$40 range. With this, unfortunately, I think you get what you pay for. If you're going for a low-price decanter that still looks pretty cool, it's perfect. And the glasses are perfect.

Interestingly, this glass item was shipped with nothing securing it inside the box and nothing to help soften any impact so the box did arrive damaged in several spots, which is unfortunate because this was a gift. The globe and cups are nice enough, like others have mentioned its thinner glass but it held up with no packing materials besides a thin piece of styrofoam so it must be sturdy! Hoping the gift is a hit and it will overshadow the fact that it looks like I picked the gift out of the garbage.

It came when it was supposed to. It was frosted (according to my wife, since I have no freakin' idea what 'frosted' is).The frosted markings were not as distinct; the edges were rounded. The "wood" base....I'm not sure if it was really wood. Maybe particle board. The glasses were of a good weight and fine. The decanter was definitely thinner but with great care would be okay. Aestetically, I'm not as impressed by the actual thing as I was by the picture.Its gift for a client, a real whiskey snow, so we'll see how it goes.

Just happened to come across this on Amazon and knew my husband would love it. I ordered it close to Christmas, but it was out of stock and we weren't going to get it until 27 December (seemed like it would be worth the wait, so it wasn't a big deal). Then something awesome happened - we received it on 22 December. Complete opposite shopping/shipping experience from my friends and family who had orders lost or delayed.It is small, but the description is true to size, so I knew what I was getting. Excellent quality in the stand, decanter and glasses. It really was a perfect gift and my husband loves it. Plus, it feels great to buy from a family owned business that seems to care about their customers!

I bought this as a gift for my whisky loving husband. He loves it. The glasses are a good weight, and the image is clear. The decanter is a bit more delicate, but it is beautifully made and with the stand looks like it cost a lot more than it did! I'd definitely recommend this product, especially if looking for a globe without the ship/plane in the middle!

Very impressive design and finished product. Wife and I had a small issue with part of the received item, Seller quickly resolved with personal and efficient customer service. This isn't large and its should not be, it easily fits a bottle of premium Irish Whiskey and is not cheaply made. I highly recommend, this will be a conversation starter for guests.

Really nice and expensive looking. Make great housewarming gift. Everybody that seen this thought I spent way more then I did.

Not cheap but very cool. I bought for a friend and she loves it. It is not cheaply made which was my main concern. I am very happy with it.
