I was really excited when I got this and mounted it up on the windshield right away. It worked great! Held the phone in place even on the most bumpy of roads, easy to remove the phone, and no effect on the phone from the powerful magnet. After a couple days though, the silicone suction cup part of it melted and it was hanging off the glass. Now I live in the Caribbean, so the days can get pretty hot, but I certainly didn't expect that. I contacted the seller and sent pictures, and initially their response was it wasn't a defect so they wouldn't be refunding me. I was disappointed, but that disappointment turned to pleasant surprise when they contacted me again and asked if I was interested in another one or a refund because they stand by their products! I opted for a replacement as I hoped maybe it would work better on the dash. You may ask why I didn't just use the vent clip attachment? Like I said, I live in the Caribbean... It gets hot..... I need all my vents. My only gripe is that I had to keep emailing them about the status of the order, because it should only have taken a couple of weeks to arrive... It took several. Anyway, I finally received it and mounted it on the dash. Several weeks later so far so good. There have been many scorchers, but no melting. My advice, don't mount on the windshield if the car will be in direct sunlight most of the day, especially in the hotter months. Kudos to the supplier though, it's the only reason this got 4 stars.

Cannot beat this product for the price.It comes with both a suction cup base as well as an air vent clip base so you decided how you want to mount it.It also comes with 2 different style thin metallic plates; a rectangle and a circle. You choose which is best for your phone and put between your phone and case.*NOTE: I was surprised to see that the suction cup base comes with a VERY VERY strong adhesive on it. This is because suction cups work poorly on plastic dashes, but this adhesive will most definitely hold onto your dash forever. I put my suction-sticky base on my windshield and I'm pretty sure I could hang off the end of it and not pull it off. Don't panic, it does have a little pull tab to help peel it off if you want to.The magnet is EXTREMELY strong. I placed it on my truck tailgate and it didn't want to let go! I have the iPhone 6 Plus, and the magnet holds it very sturdy even on rough roads.Would strongly recommend this product.

I was looking for a good car mount for me and my partners car I really wanted something with ease of use thats more in the grab and go department!Let me start by saying the magnet and the plates work flawlessly.. magnet strength is very strong! Hasn't sent my phone flying yet!So this is a vent only mount so depending on your cars vents this may not be the product for youThat said this works for sure in a Honda Civic beautifully which is the car I intended it forBut this doesn't work in a Saturn ion due to circle ventsUpdate, eventually became lose and started to dig into vents and cause scratches I don’t use it anymore

This is a great product. Works exactly how it says it does. I had asked the following question before I ordered: Does the magnet part that you attach your phone stay in place, and not fall". I asked this because the one I had would fall downward, and drove me nuts. Everyone basically gave the same answer: yes it holds. You can actually tighten the magnet part to the base which is awesome. This is all that it says. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

For starters only one of the two metal plates provided only had adhesive and it was the small one out of the two. I couldn't use either one of them in between my phone case, because the case is to thick and wouldn't stick to the stand as well because the magnet wasn't strong enough to do that. So I used the small metal plate with the adhesive and stuck it on the back of my phone case. It worked for about an hour until the adhesive decided to crap out and not stick to my phone case anymore and causing my phone to fall off the dash and breaking my car charger, The adhesive on the plate didn't want to stick on to the case after that.Now I'm returning it to get a better car mount.

This is great. My phone stays on the magnet and can mount the phone either portrait or landscape. Great for using the GPS. Tried once with a phone call, but with the volume all the way up, still couldn't hear the person. I think more that the phone was far away and the person wasn't speaking loud enough.I truly recommend this. Have only mounted on the top of my dash as I have no space further down. But, depending on the car and the dash design, I'm sure it can stick to the dash if there is a vertical place for it as well.

We purchased this as a gift. The box arrived in a wrinkled, disheveled manner and I was afraid the mount was broken or pieces may be missing. We have not heard anything back from the recipient, so must assume everything was in the box and workable.

I really like this phone holder. I'm using the (very sticky) suction cup to attach the holder inside a cubby in my Honda CR-V that I can just fold out. It's very sturdy and the magnetic grip is perfect. It's obviously affected by the thickness of your case, so keep that in mind.
