The elephant was bigger than I expected, which was great! It is so soft and snuggly, my friend (who is 32 years old) was thrilled with it's "huggability!" That it arrived vacuum packed had me a little worried because I was giving it to my friend that night, but a 20 minute spin in the dryer had it all plumped up. The one and only "complaint" I have is the eyes. I wish they were made of glass or plastic rather than just "stitched," but I DO realize this toy is meant for very small children and that could be a choking hazard. If I had had time, I might have tried to change that......but in the long run, it didn't matter. The quality of workmanship was also very good. I would definitely buy this again and will shop at this company for all my stuffed animal needs!

I got it for the girlfriend (26), who's wanted a stuffed elephant for forever. Why, I don't know, I just live here. Anyway its vacuum sealed in the packaging so like the rest of the reviews say you'll need to put it in the dryer on "fluff" for about 30 minutes to get some air into it. From my brief cuddle test on Christmas Eve it seemed quite soft and is larger than your average pillow (or at least my average pillow, I guess I can't speak for you, you could be a maniac who has absurdly large pillows). As far as the girlfriend, she seems to like it more than the diamond earrings so I probably could have just done like four more of these and gotten a better boyfriend rating for the holidays but, you know. I bought this product for myself after buying one for my best friends new baby and loving the feel of it (I have a thing for sensory items) - I pulled it out of the vacuum seal packaging (which seems a bit silly for a stuffed animal) and went on to read the poorly written cleaning(or fluffing) instructions. It just says wash and dry and/stick in the sun for extra fluff (?).... It was obviously written by someone who does not speak English as a first language.. I wondered, though, how can I wash and dry it without effecting the fabrics softness? My concerns were not without reason, for when I took it out of the dryer, while it was a lot more fluffy like the picture, the fabric was not as soft. I did not use fabric softener because I know that it does nothing for this type of fabric except make it more coarse. I was disappointed to find that washing and drying it did have a negative effect on the fabric. Also, I found a small hole in the seem of the toy's leg. For being such a pricey "pillow", I'm disappointed in the quality.It's not all bad though! I sleep with this thing every night (I recently had to give up my dog of 4 years for adoption due to my work schedule so I was feeling pretty lonely at night) and I love it. The hole doesn't bug me, the fabric isn't as soft as it was brand new but it is still very snugly. 3 out of 5 stars. Would love to see a lower price, or better quality stitching and fabric.

I usually do not take the time to right reviews but this elephant is terrible. It comes in vacuum packaging, you are supposed to wash and dry it to make its shape. Let me tell you washing and drying it does not help. The stuffing does not fill through the trunk and limbs. It looks like there is no stuffing and cannot even sit it up it is so floppy. It is flat almost like it could be used for a pillow. I would definitely not recommend this. I am sending it back.

I was skeptical when I received the package. It was vacuumed sealed and the directions say to wash it, and it will fluff right back up. I followed the instructions and washed and dried it. I couldn't believe it! Looks much better than I had thought it would. I bought it for a baby shower, but my kids spotted it and love it! I might be purchasing more!

Elephant is adorable! It was vacuum packed but I carefully cut package open and fluffed as the stuffing was balled a bit, then I put in dryer on cool for about 30 minutes and it came out soft and fluffed.I've read negative reviews about the shape but tjonknit is a smart way to save money on shipping costs and it was No big deal. If it will bother you then go to store and buy one already fluffed.

I've given this as a gift a few times now, everyone seem to like it. And it's cute. Do need to put in a dryer to fluff it back up.

This is a gift for my friends grandchild. So soft and cuddly, but it did have an opening along the seam of the trunk. Instead of returning, I just had the seam stitched up. Was delivered quickly.
