We ordered this for the first time and obtained a defective piece.

As usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon.This set of 6 Premium Bamboo Utensils arrived wrapped in tissue, held together with a straw tie, inside a box. I like that in the packaging there was no plastic, everything is recyclable.When I opened the box and unwrapped them, I could tell immediately that these were quality products, I like the large size and the shape of the handles, the weight for me is perfect, and the smooth feel of the wood is so nice in your hand.The 6 Utensils in the set are: 1. A large round Spoon for general mixing & stirring, but today, as the spoons are so nice we used one for serving up Risotto. 2. A Slotted Spoon for draining liquid, we used this one for taking peas, chopped carrots etc, out of a saucepan,3. A Spoon, which is pointed in one corner with a Hole in the middle, making it great for mixing and stirring, and also this spoon makes it easier to get into the corner of your pan.4. Wooden Spatula5. Slotted Fish Slice Turner.6. Spaghetti Spoon, this is great for serving Spaghetti or Linguine.It’s nice to know that they are made from Bamboo and not from unsustainable hardwood, or plastic, which obviously helps the environment.I had to contact their customer service department, and they are just what you would hope a customer service department to be, so helpful, polite and understanding.As you can tell, I really like this set of Dehaus Bamboo Utensils, I know they are a little expensive, but personally I think they are worth it, and would definitely recommend them.I hope you have found this review and photos helpful.

Comes together in a cardboard box. You get a set of 6 wooden bamboo utensils. A light colour wood, thick chunky handles to each one. All completely smooth to touch, no chips or defects anywhere. Each all with a decent size handle, they are comfortable to hold and don't easily slip from your hands. Perfect to use in all types of pots and pans, they don't feel like they are going to scratch or scrape the bottom. Doesnt get too hot to hold. With a molded hole at the top of the handles they can be hung on a utensil rack. They did have a strong wooden smell upon opening, which wore off quite quickly after being cleaned. Not to be soaked in water or put in a dishwasher, clean with a damp soapy cloth and dry thoroughly. Perfect for all homes, in new homes or as a replacement. Extremely happy with them, excellent quality.

I will be honest and say that I would not know bamboo from other woods - though I love that it is more eco-friendly than the hardwoods like teak with which they are, IMO, comparable in quality.These, to me, look like a really nice set of light-coloured wooden kitchen utensils, with none of the 'powdery' finish that some cheaper ones have and which tell you from the first they will wear badly. They feel comfortable to hold and have good, firm working edges which means they scrape or beat or turn food easily.They do look attractive so could easily be on display in your kitchen rather than hidden away in the drawer and have hanging holes at one end if you want to do that, or you can stand them up in a pot.Pricewise, they seem to be in line with the market.

These bamboo spoons are well-made and look attractive on the counter. I didn't realise it was a set of 6 so was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. They are smooth and there is a nice range of spoons to use. I think the price is a little high for me, but they really are a nice set. The pot in the picture does not come with the spoons, this was a pen holder I had bought seperately from Amazon, but is working well to keep these utensils together and looking pretty.
