Soaked the seeds, and ground them with vinegar, white wine, and salt. Pressed the paste through a strainer and let it mellow for a couple days ... and voilla! Traditional perfect Dijon. Delicious!

I have been using this particular brand of mustard seed for about 5 years and finally writing a review. The seeds are smaller than what I was familiar with. They are also brown and not black. I like their color and lack of bitter taste. They are never rancid, but perhaps that is because they are stored in a good back from the seller. I trust the Frontier brand and try to use all of their organic items. You are well served to buy this seed from them and use in your Indian cooking.

These mustard seeds are perfect for my homemade mustard. I used half of the dark seeds, mixed with yellow seeds. The mustard is yummy. I will order this product again.

This product is much better than what is available at Indian stores in the USA. The seeds were clean and perfectly sized for Indian cooking. The mustard flavor is flawless. I use these mustard seeds to make home made garam masala powder that needs to last for 6 months and I could not have chosen a better product.

I buy Frontier spices and herbs in bulk because I need to maintain a gluten free diet and they rate very highly as a company that maintains high standards to prevent cross-contamination.Purchasing whole herbs and spices to grind myself is a safer choice than pre-ground spices. Government sponsored tests in Canada and independent tests in the US have found alarming amounts of gluten protein in ground spices. Enough to make me sick!

We've bought all sorts of Frontier spices online, and we've always been pleased. We use a lot of mustard seeds in kegerees, curries and other dishes with an Indian influence, so it's nice to be able to buy a big supply of high quality mustard seeds. These seeds have real pop. What more can we say?
