Not bad, beware of veil issue.
Overall the jacket seems well made. The zippers are heavy duty, but could run slightly smoother. Maybe a bit of beeswax could smooth them out a bit. The Velcro is very strong. I've had the the jacket a little over a week and have worn it three or four times already. I'm not convinced the jacket I received is what was pictured. You can compare my pics to those in the listing and judge for yourself. I will only say that the fabric on mine is very thick. That's fine, no real complaint beyond it was not exactly as expected. The fit of the jacked is good. I am 5'3", about 130lbs and I bought the small. The elastics fit snugly around the hem and cuff. There is plenty of room in the jacket. Movement doesn't feel restricted at all. The pockets are a very nice feature. They are large and secure with velcro spots. My biggest issue with this jacket/veil combo is with the veil. More specifically, at the attachment point for the veil. There is approximately a 4” piece of fabric just above the zipper that is very thick and rigid. This thick section of fabric forces it to stand up once the hood/veil is zipped into place. That effect forces the front of the veil to press up against your face (nose). I put a ball cap on under the veil, but the problem persists. Perhaps that section of fabric will relax over time. That would be ideal. In the meantime I may have to add a couple of stitches in that area to hold the veil forward. Nobody wants to be stung on the tip of the nose! Not to mention, the veil rubbing on your nose can get very irritating in short order. If you compare the pictures of my jacket with those included in the product listing you will see some distinct differences. My veil has one less segment than pictured. The difference means there is far less depth from front to back and may also be contributing to the issue described. If the issue with the veil was corrected I could easily give this product a 5 star review. Unfortunately, the problem is irritating enough to deduct 2 stars.

Very poor customer service.
I bought this bee jacket in April and used it for the first time today. I don't know what the manufacture was thinking because the veil is at least 12" taller than the top of my head, maybe for someone that has a 2' neck. Also the screen on the front kept hitting me in the face and wouldn't stay out when I physically pulled it out. I have been a beekeeper for 58 years and this is the nearest nothing of a jacket and veil that I have ever owned. I just wish I had used it before the time to return it. UPDATE: After I posted the initial review the vendor contacted me and said they were sending me a "courtesy" round veil, which I agreed to. Here it is the middle of August and I still haven't received the veil. They have made every excuse in the world trying to explain why I haven't got it yet. They even said it was on the way and they were waiting for a tracking number. I have all the emails from them if I need to prove anything. Needless to say, the vendor really doesn't care about the customer.

Light jacket....
Backyard beekeeper here...I bought this as a Christmas gift for myself. I finally got to use it a couple of weeks back. My first thought, wow nice jacket real light weight. About ten minutes into check hives I got stung in the arm. It was a 70 degree day and I was wearing a t-shirt under jacket. So...My thoughts...wear another long sleeve shirt under this jacket..kind of defeats the purpose if it's a 90+ degree day. BTW this jacket has 2 layers....Another thought, the hood is large and tall....I knocked over or ran into stuff while wearing it...takes a little getting use to.

Works great
I bought this beekeeping jacket because I have a wasp and yellow jacket problem around my house. I continually spray the nests but I have a workshop and open sided storage area beside my house and cannot control the wasp population. I bought this protective outfit so I could go out and dig into my tools and supplies without being run off by the d... wasps! It really works great, as in, have not been stung once while wearing it. I was a bit apprehensive when ordering the outfit because I thought it might be too hot to wear since I live in Texas but no problems...

Seems well made.
I wear an XL or 1X in womens & am 5'5" tall; I ordered the Large and it fits fine with plenty of room. I really like that it is vented; you'll still sweat though on 90 degree days!! The zipper assembly moves well and feels well made. I have been using it now for about 2 months (about weekly or every 2 weeks for 2 colonies) and so far it is holding up well...I will give other reviews as it ages/wears.I like having a zipper down the front and a detachable hood; I have had a pull over jacket with a permanently attached fencing hood and I did not like it when I had to remove it...the fencing veil quickly cracked, etc...having a front zipper and a hood that you can open/loosen while working with your bees (ie., during some work you don't necessarily want to take your jacket off, but it is nice to be able to open your jacket and take off the veil (and let it dangle behind you) as you are moving supplies, etc...The pullover jackets are typically less expensive, but I would definitely recommend "splurging" for this type of jacket.I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this brand and style of jacket/veil.

I was a bit worried about getting stung through the suit as I’m used to using the more traditional type of suit. I have been using it now for about three months and have no issues with it. It is more breathable and thus cooler than my older jacket. No stings and cooler, can’t ask for more.

Thank Goodness for Ventilation!
In the hot summer days in Southern California a ventilated suit is (for me) a must. If I wear a baseball cap the veil stays back instead of falling into my face. Definitely enough zips and velcro to keep any bees out, as long as you do all of them up right. My only complaint is when wearing a sleeveless shirt the suit material felt quite rough on my neck and shoulders. Other than that there's enough pockets to hold tools, plenty of room to see out of the veil, as well as good wide elastic around the waist and wrists (along with thumb loops). I haven't washed it yet, but plan on hand washing, knowing it will never look as pristine as it did new but hey beekeeping can be a dirty job. For a first timer it seems to be doing the job.
