Delish! Really good finishing salt!

My wife and I are true foodies and love to cook. We often like to try new products that can bring a dish to the next level. We have tried truffle salt before, but this was our first experience with Fleur de Sel. There is no doubt that the consistency of the salt is ideal - a little bit on the coarser side without the crystals being too big. The flavor is outstanding, the salt is really strong, and the addition of 5% black dried truffle is perfect for achieving the right truffle flavor. Some truffle salts contain as little as 0.1% truffle so often the only taste you get is from all that artificial flavoring. This truffle Fleur de Sel from Villa Ronzan however seems perfectly balanced and an excellent addition to our kitchen. We use it on pasta, baked vegetables, steamed vegetables, salads, fries and even stir fry. It now has a special place in our pantry right in the middle of our most favorite spices. Overall we are very pleased with this product. Highly recommend it.

has a very musty smell unlike the truffle salt I purchased in Portland Oregon. Cannot taste the truffles.

I tried it and I simply loved it! I am originally from Italy and I know how truffle products can be very special... I hoped this truffle salt was going to be good and I was not disappointed. I used it first on my risotto, then on eggs and in a vinaigrette I used with white asparagus. In all these cases I did not need much because the flavor is intense. Even a little bit, made all these dishes taste great and...very expensive! Next I will be using it to flavor the turkey and the mashed potatoes this Thanksgiving. A great find for sure!

I don't normally write reviews, but I feel compelled to write one this time. This is a terrible product, as stated in a previous review, it does have slight musty odor and I cannot taste, nor smell any hint of truffle at all. I know the ingredients says it contains 5% dried summer truffle, I just can't detect any. I am not a professional chef by any means, but I would say I am somewhat of a connoisseur regarding these types of foods. There are much better truffle salts on the market, consider yourself warned. This stuff is absolutely a waste of money.

I'm from Italy and I haven't had truffle for the longest time. I was really happy when I found this product online. No need to said I was not disappointed. Truffle salt from Villa Ronzan has a truly authentic flavor and is great on so many things. I love it on my eggs, for my pasta, on a slice of bread with a little bit of EVOO. I just got this salt as a gift and it is great! I used it on several dishes ranging from omelette, risotto, corn on the cob and grilled meat. It adds a great flavor and gives a hint of sophistication to your food. I'm going to try it on popcorn next. A little goes a long way. Use it sparingly!

Wow!!Just arrived and I already love it!!!I do think that premium ingredients are the key of special food and this truffle salt definitely is.It is so versatile that I cannot resist the pleasure of using a pinch of it everywhere!It has a delicate and elegant flavor that ennobles any recipes.... love, love, true love at first sight!
