This dash cam doesn't automatically overwrite the files so every 45 min I have to format my SD card. The ad says that it does but I contacted the seller and they don't know how to do it. I looked in the manual and all of the menus on the device - it doesn't do it. All in spite of having a file save button that prevents a video from being overwritten, and three looping options - all of which are pointless if the thing doesn't overwrite anyways.

Great budget camera at a very low price. Worth much more than it cost.
This is a review of the Telico C17 Cash Camera. This camera has proven to be much more than expected for the low cost it sells for. The video quality is much higher than expected, as well as the build quality. It is a bit heavier than other budget cameras I have used, but I have never had any issues with it staying on the windshield; even on rough roads with many bumps. The native language when it was delivered was Chinese, but was very easy to change. (Hit menu {looking at screen, left side, middle button, below SD card slot}, arrow button down four times, hit OK {top button on right side}, then find English using up or down arrow buttons.)The day time quality of the video is quite good. The video is not too stretched (fisheye lens style), and it is not too zoomed in to be useless. Video records smooth and audio, if you use it, sounds clear. The unit is a bit harder to get mounted with the screw type mounting system, but that allows for greater control over how it is set and is more secure than the slid on types. The suction cup mounting system has been great and I have had no issues even with taking it down many times to move it. The locking video feature is great (though I have had no accidents) and will lock a video if you mount the unit to the windshield after it is on and recording.Overall, with the power cord long enough to hide, the price low enough to afford, and the quality of the camera surprising for the cost, this is a great budget camera to get for any or all vehicles you drive. The night vision is not the highest quality, but that tends to be true of all budget cameras. If you have good headlights, it will show the road quite well. If you have low quality dim headlights, you will still get the lines in the road and oncoming traffic, just not very good quality video of anything else. Great starter camera or long time use unit, and Telico is a great company to buy from. Any issues, just let them know and they will work with you to correct the problems quickly. To see a full review of this camera with good quality video, search “Telico C17 Dash Camera Reviewed by WNSR” on Youtube.
