Crumpled City Map-Chicago

The box it arrived in was squished, but the map inside was perfect. It's a good size and the fabric (paper?) is well made. It's just what I wanted!

Good: it's neat that it crumples easily and gets soft. Fits well in the bag (included) either folded or crumpled.Weird: Chicago is a very north/south city. This map orients so that the heart of the city - the loop - is on the shortest side. Therefore, the map mostly shows the deep west central side. The north/south points cut off before you get to major landmarks like Wrigley Field (north), The Museum of Science and Industry (south), and U.S. Cellular Field (south). The furthest west point of interest I can think of is the Garfield Park Conservatory, and there's still a good five inches of west side visible on the map past it...all the way to Cicero Ave! Therefore, the map is only really good if you need it for the Loop and west sides.All in all, neat concept, not sure of its true usefulness as a map, especially for a tourist or temporary resident. Keeping for the novelty alone.

An sich eine tolle Idee, allerdings hat die Crumpled City Mal ein paar Mankos:1. Größe: Auch zusammengeknüllt ist der Plan recht groß. Hosen- oder Jackentasche passt nicht.2. Lesbarkeit: Die leidet schnell unter den Knitterfalten3. Fehlende/Falsche Straße. Gerade in Gebieten mit vielen kleinen Straßen fehlen Namen und teilweise sind Gassen falsch oder garnicht verzeichnet.Fazit: Ganz lustig, aber ein gefalteter Papierplan funktioniert definitiv besser.

Das Material ist wirklich äußerst beständig. Die Karte konnte Problemlos als Regenschutz verwendet werden und schnell in die Tasche geknüllt werden ohne dabei kaputt zu gehen oder an Lesbarkeit zu verlieren - leider war sie von Anfang an nicht besonders gut lesbar:- Die Karte hätte wegen der Form der Stadt einfach im anderen Format aufgedruckt werden müssen-Alles war wegen dem falschen Format etwas klein und unleserlich-Es waren viel zu wenig Zugänge zu den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln verzeichnet, obwohl es diese definitiv gab
