I purchased this blood pressure monitor a few weeks ago. The main complaint I have is the unit thatstores the battery isn't working properly. When I first installed the batteries, it worked one time for me,and now I can only use the unit if it is plugged in. It is a loose fit and is a weak structure.As far as the reading of the monitor, it is ok, but I am not that impressed. Sometimes Ihave to press it more than once to get a response. I will check and see if I can get it replacedunder warranty. If I can I will be pleased.This is an update to the previous review of 2 stars. The company saw my review and before I could get in touch with them, they notified me theyare replacing the blood pressure monitor. I think every one will have to agree, this is top of the line customer service.I appreciate the company stands behind their products. I will give them 5 stars for the great customer service. I will keepyou updated on the new monitor after I use it a few months.

Part of the appeal of this purchase was to link/upload to a computer, so as to have printed record. The supplied disc/mini disc can't be used in any modern disc reader, and the link supplied to download the software is broken/does't work. I did request some help from the manufacturer and they very quickly replied, but supplied me with the same useless link. The bottom line is that the blood pressure cuff works so far (I've only used it 5 times), but don't buy this item if up are hoping to link it to a computer---and frankly may be overpriced for just an automated BP measurement device. Going forward, I'll just look for a system that performs as described, with some awareness that this purchase only has a one year warranty

I have only used this monitor a few times, since I just got it, but it seems to be accurate. It's a very attractive unit. I find the buttons to start it and turn it off/on are rather hard to push to activate compared to my old monitor, though. The time and date settings are easy to set and the readout is clear. I haven't used the included software yet. and I will have more to say about it after I have used it longer. I bought it specifically for that feature, as well as the included powere adapter. So far, I think it is a good buy.

I like many things about this blood pressure monitor, except it is quite a bit noisier than others I’ve used in the past. I also like the option to use with the included AC Adapter or the batteries. I have not tried the USB Data Line or software CD – and it doesn’t seem I’m missing much! I like the large screen, tooOverall, a good unit. As for its accuracy, I’ll have to compare it to my doctor’s office during my next visit. I recommend this unit overall, and the company stands behind its satisfaction guarantee.

I was able to take my blood pressure with this device. However, I was unable to upload the data after installing the BPM application. I am using Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Anniversary edition. I notified Aickar via the Amazon web site and they responded the next day with a recommendation to obtain a replacement from Amazon. However, I couldn't figure out how to obtain a replacement, so I called Amazon and they told me they could only credit my account for this unit and that I would have to order another one. As I didn't like what I saw of the software, I chose this opportunity to simply obtain the refund and I ordered a unit from another manufacturer instead. If you are going to use a unit like this on a daily basis, the connection and the software have to be trouble free or your good habit is going to be discouraged. I had a Walgreens WGNBPA-550 which worked well with Windows 8.1, but after upgrading to Windows 10, Microsoft claims that someone at either Walgreens or HoMedics (the manufacturer) removed the device drivers from the connection center site, so now I have 2 working blood pressure monitors that are useless, because I don't wish to spend the time hand copying the data from the machines every time my wife or I visit the doctor...

Bought this blood pressure monitor because of reasonable reviews (it seemed no better or worse than others) and most importantly it had an electric plug in addition to batteries. I thought the idea of plugging this into the wall was a capital idea instead of relying on batteries..Pros: nicely designed unit for the unit itself. Clear to read display and nary a ER (error) message like on a previous BPM. Purchase price was fair. when compared to other BPM's.Cons: The biggest problem was the readout was way too high for my blood pressure. The Aickar BPM consistently read 40 - 45 points too high on the systolic and 8-10 points too high on the Diastolic. These results were checked on my Doctors manual sphygmomanometer under his and his nurses guidance. Repeated the tests 3x and got the same results. Talk about adding to my blood pressure concerns... Just when as a patient you want accurate measurements to allay health concerns, you get kicked in the groin (metaphorically).In addition the cuff was not generous enough.Conclusion: Threw out the Aickar BPM into the trash since that is what it was. Yes it could have been returned, but as an ethical concern, I could not in good conscience return something that was clearly faulty just to be repackaged and resold to another trusting, unsuspecting blood pressure monitor user.

This machine is easy to use and gives accurate blood pressure readings. The package includes a large and a medium size cuff that should fit most all adults in the household. It is very important for accuracy to have the right size cuff. We do have another blood pressure machine with a large, one size fits all cuff that my husband has been using for two years. Unfortunately the large one-size fits all cuff does not really fit smaller arms, and I did not get accurate readings with it. I had to purchase this Aickar to take my readings! Still, it is a very good value in an important device!
