Go on, disrupt the status quo.
I cherish the look and feel, of high end electronices... and also this. The minimal tolerances of its crafted stainless steel shell departs a feel of quality and substance The smoothness in articulating the HD display from screen,180°, to tablet mode is smooth like butter. Even down to the backlit keyboard, the pressure and depth needed until activation is rewarding. Overall the outward appearance, keyboard, and satisfaction Ive found via user interface, makes this the best feeling and looking sub $1000 laptop I've worked with!Sorry to say, the power button brings the cops to the kegger. Having finite resources, it's evident where the money went, thus leaving it's performance swimming mid pack in a pool of 3,296 laptops, vying for shares of the sub $500 market. Nothing too exciting, you can see the numbers. Competent enough to tackle most computing tasks, having no problem running multiple windows, sliding back and forth with ease, etc. However, with google's recent announcement of extending critical updates, this laptop will be performaning years after planned obsolescence leaves Macbook or Window laptops, of any price,.in oveburdoned landfills. With so many positives right of the bell curve, I am left with the understanding, this is far and away the best buy in this segment.

Exactly what I needed.
Excellent function. Touch screen, good keys, bright, works.

wrong model number
this is NOT back lit, which was the selling feature. the keys letter stickers blur in low lighting so cant really see the key board, i've never had that issue. The speakers are god awful! You should not need to buy external speakers, that takes the portability of the device away and using headphones all the time while using the device is ridiculous. The screen is quite dark and the battery only gets about 4 hours so when they say to increase your battery life turn the brightness down that's a joke, or to use Bluetooth enabled head phones but if you want a longer battery disable blue tooth ...its so dumb. the refresh rate is slower than expected. i kept hearing that this is a 1 finger lift...it's not. pretty much all the selling features are a dud. i'm really upset because now i have to wait 3 weeks to get refunded. that's really not ok. i need another device but cant get one until i get the refund. this has been an absolute headache. i hate this device

Love It, But There are Some Trade Offs
The backlit keyboard is the feature that caused me to choose this Chromebook, combined with a competitive price. I've also had a positive experience with Acer products. This is a beautiful laptop! But, it has only one USB-C port; if you're not willing to go wireless with mouse, printer, etc., you're SOL! (It's on the left side, too; if you're using wired mouse, and you're right handed, i's a pain!) I regularly attach a USB drive, and so I would have liked an extra port; I got a wireless mouse to remedy the limitation. (It does appear USBC ports are rapidly going the way of the 8-track, though.)The battery life is not as robust as expected; the de facto brightness is not bright enough, at least for my eyes, making it necessary to amp up brightness; that hurts battery life. I took an 8-hour course where I was taking notes most of the day; I didn't bring my power cord, believing I had enough power; I barely made it! That makes me skeptical enough not to leave the power cord at home next time; repowering takes minutes, though! I also wonder if it's using up power even when off; sometimes, I'm surprised the power bar isn't at 100% after I've charged it and turned it off; this is an anecdotal observation. It's comfortable for typing, but heavy and unwieldy if you're trying to hold onto it while watching videos lying in bed; but beautiful screen for watching stuff.Using it for what it's designed for; i.e., as a laptop, has been great. In sum, I'm satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

Honest Review
I think this is the first review I have ever done lol So I bought this laptop after my Levono Yoga C90 finally went out. Going from a state of the art Laptop at the time (2018) and with an overall price tag of $1400.00, I could not see myself going back to anything else. (It had a dolby atmos soundbar built in lol) It had everything and more than I needed. And when I decided to buy something I could take on the go and do my day to day. I came about this laptop on Amazon. I needed something that would able to do what I mostly do on my laptop. Word processing and watching YouTube and the other streaming services I cant live without lol and check into other social media if I felt like it. I spent two days doing research, and looking at YouTube videos and reviews of this laptop. When I finally got it home, I was surprised how thin and light it was. I am a musician and I was surprised how clear and how loud the sound would get. Screen was very clear and bright. The one thing I had to get used to, is the operating system. I have used Windows for 30 plus years. I was surprised how easy it was to learn Chrome OS. There are MANY features I miss from Windows. But for what I need it to do its holding up . Overall for this price I am happy. NOTE: I have seen some reviewers say there is not a back lit keyboard. THERE IS ONE. I would NOT of bought this laptop if there was not one. Thats the first thing I look for. This laptop is like an electric hybrid, light simple to use and will get the job done. IF you are looking for a juiced up race car with all the bells and whistles, then this is not the right laptop for you. But if you wannt something affordable and does all the above, then this might be for you
