Traxxas6893X Blue Aluminum Bearing Slash Adapter, 4 x 4

See pics for comparison and exploded slipper clutch view. I did this to my slipper clutch on my 3500 brushless modified Stampede 4x4. Original is plastic and weak. This really doesnt weigh any more to speak of but is a much better part. I mention wright because the lighter your rotating assembly, the less wasted power, you can take it from there.I did take the opportunity to install a few more of my Fast Eddy ceramic bearings while i was in there. Also, highly recommended. I just saved all me new besrings and take-offs for "emergency" scenarios.Conical end of thrust bearing adapter fits perfectly on the inner besring race and will not flatten out under the spring load, which would ultimatley eat the bearing. Good part, increase reliability for a few bucks.

Good OEM quality

The plastic version the rc car came with melted down and ruined the bearing it rides on pretty quickly.. This aluminum one is able take the heat and Pressure it's subjected too! This is The first and most important upgrade that should be done the moment the car comes out of it's box!

While rebuilding the slipper on a Slash 4x4 Ultimate I want to get this upgraded at the same time. IMO the vehicle should come with this upgrade. I understand the desire by companies to need to sell parts by selling RC’s with average parts so they may be upgraded. This is what I bought for this project below:In addition to Traxxas 6893X, I Bought Traxxas 5352R, I believe the only thing I used from this kit was the aluminum pads. Plenty of extra parts for the repair case for later I guess. I bought Hot Racing Silver 54T 32P and Robinson Racing Products slipper kit and Traxxas 6747 11-T pinion for the project. The slipper clutch adjusts 10x better imo. With the 11t pinion I lost 8 mph but can go through nearly anything. 40’s mph instead of stock 50’s. Strong is what I wanted for bashing. The stock one will deform no matter what you do for heat so replace it asap!!

Good spare to have in the tool box. Sucks when you blow this bearing during as race night. Traxxas quality just remember to oil every 5 to 6 runs.

This is a must have part. I read and read when I bought my Stampede 4x4 that this should be your first upgrade so I went ahead and ordered it with the truck. I did not replace it initially I figured I would wait and see how weak the factory part was. On my second 3s run I felt my clutch just let go so I turned everything off and went in to start wrenching. After taking the rear end of my truck off and slipping out the clutch I couldn't even recognize the original part due to it completely melting! Cheap part, order it when you order the truck!

Why doesnt Traxxas include this with their VXL systems (they use plastic, that melts, thus this bearing adapter is the fix)?This adapter is good. Better than a piece of plastic. And comes with a bearing, so you'll have an extra.
