Great Product
I bought this for my brother for Christmas as he recently got into disc golf and has a knack for getting them stuck in everything from trees to ponds. I figured he would get tired of swimming and climbing to retrieve them. This worked extremely well for his needs. It is small enough to fit in his disc golf bag, but thick enough to get the job done well. It is designed well and is stable despite the length. I might buy one for myself to use when I go golfing without him.

Nice retriever
Bought to have a retriever for both of my bags. I like my original one but this feels more durable and I like the attachment design better! My original uses a nut that requires a wrench to tighten on the attachments. This model uses wing nuts which are much more versatile! Making it easier to change the attachments if you want to.

Making Retrievers Great for Once
This product was carefully considered and I don’t imagine I could find a better retriever. It’s domestically made, with a lifetime guarantee that’s easy to register. It fits neatly into my Pound bag, as well as the 3 headpiece attachments. As the common retriever motto goes, after you save a disc or two, it pays for itself. The big difference to pay attention to between Rogue vs other retrievers is the wing nut. It allows for a more secure, tight attachment of the headpieces to the threads, and without any wiggle, the threads last longer and don’t get deformed. You won’t see this feature on Kwik Stiks, Dynamic Discs retrievers, Prodigy retrievers, etc. which makes for a kind of planned obsolescence with these products. On the other hand, Rogue is striving for making a properly working, long lasting product. Backing it with a lifetime guarantee let’s me know they’re pretty serious about this.Last note, any stainless steel pole that contracts to 16” and extends to 16’ is going to have a risk for snapping. Especially if you’re violently prodding trees. One future workaround I hope Rogue Iron implements first, is a carbon fiber version. In my eyes Rogue Iron has the best retriever already, but a carbon fiber version would really demolish the competition. I know, I know. Who would pay hundreds for a light weight, stronger, carbon fiber retriever secured with wing nuts. *cough* me *cough*Great job, Rogue Iron.

Great disc retriever that pays for itself
Great disc retriever that pays for itself in no time. Sturdy, well built, and compact. Saved 3 discs in two weeks, I'm a new player, and even pulled one I threw in a lake. I keep it in a side pocket of my awesome Rogue Iron Disc Golf Satchel Bag, which I bought around the same time. I use an old pharmacy pill bottle in the bottom of the pocket to help the retriever stand more upright. Get one, you won't regret it.

Absolute gamechanger
This retriever is an absolutely huge improvement from other retrievers on the market. We have an older triangle-style retriever that is such a huge pain to break out and wrap back up that we decided we needed an upgrade, and this retriever was a perfect choice. While more expensive than others, it has a lifetime warranty and is way more sturdy than the others on the market. Consider this: if you're able to use it to save even 3 discs, it's already paid for itself, plus you get to keep your favorite disc in your bag. We've only had it for a couple of weeks but it has already saved several discs stuck up high in trees, in the middle of dense/spiky thorn bushes, stuck in the water, etc. A friend has a version without the wingnuts and they are definitely a proven improvement on the concept. While theirs is wobbly and drops discs on the pull-back, this retriever is sturdy and brings discs back to you without any trouble. The multiple attachments are very nice to have for whatever situation you find your disc in and store compactly in any bag. We even tested out the water retriever attachment by shaking it while fully extended with a dripping wet disc in it and it didn't budge at all. To top it all off, the customer support is incredible (Brian even followed up personally to make sure everything was going well), the lifetime warranty is a no-brainer, and they even plant a tree in your name to help offset the carbon footprint when you register your lifetime warranty. I could go on and on about why this retriever is the best on the market, but see for yourself and buy this thing now.

Careful when you use it...
This is a very useful tool to get your disc out of precarious situations. Has come in handy several times to get discs out of bushes, thorns, treetops, and water features. As of writing this review, this seems to be the most reliable/best retriever out there.A word of caution. When using the retriever, be careful extending the pole and grabbing things to not use too much force since the attachments/pole are fragile. Don't throw the pole around or try to bend it as the attachment screw will shear off or the pole will snap, especially when fully extended. My two-hook attachment screw sheared off within a month of using in bushes. Other reviewers have said the same. Luckily, Rogue Iron customer service was quick/friendly and sent me a replacement attachment hook. The other build quality complaint I had is it can be difficult to get discs out of bushes if the pole gets stuck on something it will keep extending which can get annoying. If there were a latching mechanism to prevent the pole from extending further once the extension length is chosen, this would allow for greater force to be used to extract discs from thorny bushes (as long as the pole can handle such force) and would be a significant improvement. I hope Rogue Iron will consider making a more robust/rugged design with these features in consideration.I highly recommend getting a disc retriever sheath like the one Infinite Discs sells. The retriever comes with a cheap plastic sleeve, but I wouldn't attach it to your bag as you might lose your retriever if the plastic rips.

Great gift for your disc golf playing friends
So I’ve bought this for a few of the men in my life that play disc golf. Each one of them have absolutely loved it. They have been able to retrieve discs in tricky places with ease. Not a bad price either for the product, it’s good quality and fairly durable. Great gift idea if you aren’t buying for yourself!
