Fischer'sRed Hots Sausage 40oz Jar

I bought this same item in Tennessee when I was there and it was delicious. So I decided to purchase a large one from Amazon since I forgot to bring one home with me. As soon as it was delivered I opened it and my husband and I ate two sausages. They were definitely not the same texture or flavor. The sausages were softer than vienna sausages. That night my husband and I were both sick. We got food poisoning from these sausages. And to top it off I spent 30.00 on an item that made us both sick and I can't return to get my money back. If it was just the flavor I would understand but these made us very sick for TWO days. Don't buy these from Amazon. I DO NOT recommend.

I’ve recaptured my childhood. I grew up on these and they don’t sell them in my area, so I haven’t had them for 30 years. They were perfect. No leaks, fresh, same taste I remember, and packaged to stay a good temperature.I’m already a repeat customer.

If I could leave a half of star I would!!!! I have eaten this brand of hot pickled sausages my whole life and was beyond excited when I seen they sold them on Amazon! I did not care that they were $30.00 because these were my favorite as a kid - as soon as you pull them out they crush in your fingers by barely adding pressure, as soon as I took a bite I instantly spit it out because I knew something was wrong!! These were firm like a hot dog when I used to eat these, THE ONES DELIVERED TO ME WERE MUSH!! This seller needs to pull them and not sell them!! I cant believe I spent that money and cant even get a better product sent to me!!! THEY ARE DISGUSTING

Still good pickling but sausage to soft .

Ordered these after reading a couple reviews. All types of these sausages I compare to Penrose, so I figured I was taking a chance ordering these.These are GREAT! Not quite as firm as the Penrose, but a just right texture...not too hard, just nice and firm. The taste is terrific. They are just spicy enough without overdoing it; not hot. A good size as well. These are priced well for such a large jar, and the company delivered them very quickly and securely packaged. If you enjoy these type of 'bar sausages', you cannot go wrong with these. Highly recommended!

OK, These are just hot dogs and are nothing like the "bar sausage" most are probably looking for. The others are polish pickled sausage.They were tasty though, They had spice and people liked them. The shipping seems rough on them so be prepared for leaks. But again these are not bar sausages.

Was all taped up but still was leaking. Don't buy

The Red hots arrived leaking, the links were not solid as the ones i have had before, they are mushy.
