I got this to sprinkle on my senior dog’s food so she’ll eat. She likes it, often picking out just the crunchy shreds of cheese and leaving her food lol. I haven’t eaten any of it, but it appears to be good quality product. It’s got a nice rich orange color. The texture is hard and smooth, a bit greasy. The shreds are long and they’re pretty easily snapped into pieces, but it’s not as easy to crush a handful of shreds by hand. If the price doesn’t jump to a ridiculous amount, I’ll keep buying this when I need it.

I bought this for my stock pantry but used it at my work for my boss's family as they were curious about long term stg foods. We were all so impressed with this that now I have to get more when I can as mine got ate. Great product and price.

I'm sure the product is fine. Kind of hard to mess up freeze dried cheese, though I haven't had this brand. Oh my aged brain! I saw the 10 oz and my mind translated that to #10 can which is bigger and worth the money. But $20 for 10 ounces! Ooooooppppps! I won't do that again. I made the mistake so I won't send it back. Sigh.

The can was smaller than I expected but it is GREAT. You need this kind of stuff to 'spice' up your other freeze dried food. Consider survival and emergency food cooking and you don't want it plain and tasteless. Strait out of the can it is a bit sharp and salty but that is what cheese with moisture removed should be. YES I recommend this.

I loved the idea of having cheese in a can. We are in a hurricane area and when the electric goes off for 1-2 weeks I will have cheese that does not have to be in the refrigerator.

For the money you pay. You get $2 worth of cheese for $28. NOT a great deal. The can is the size of a regualr vegetable can of corn. TOO SMALL

It is delicious just eating it in the freeze dried state. Added it to other meal items, without hydration, for added flavor and food value.
