Knife Kitchen Set 6 Piece Stainless Steel Knives Set with Granite Coated Magnetic Wooden Block

This knife set is SO gourmet and elegant looking with a sleek and contemporary magnetic butcher block. My old knife set just wasnt cutting it anymore, so it was time for a new set. This is the new and upcoming look to replace that old wooden butcher block.The butcher block:1. The magnetism is plenty strong enough to hold the knives in place without allowing the knives to slide.2. The knives are easy to remove from the block without effort (I was afraid the block would be too strong of a hold).3. The block is heavy and sturdy and doesn't wobble.4. It is easy to clean.5. Allows you to place your knives however you choose. Left handed or right, or even side mounted if they are too tall.The knives:1. Sharp! I have enjoyed the ease of chopping and slicing with sharp new knives. They easily glide thru the produce.2. The handles are heavy and have a durable look and feel. My last knives broke at the handles, so this was the first thing I looked at when I got these. The handles look to be very well constructed. They have a slight rubberized coating to them to keep them from slipping. They are double banded at the blade.3. Nice selection, my favorite is the 6" cleaver. It was excellent for chopping cilantro and dicing onions last night.4. The blades are stainless steel and can be resharpened.

I bought the block solely for the magnetic block portion so I was pleasantly surprised that it came with knives. The block itself is awesome and the magnet is perfect in that it holds big and heavy knives just fine but it's also easy to take the knife off the block. However, I'm not exactly the biggest fan of the knives themselves. The color blending in with the block is kinda weird (why wouldn't I want to see my knife's shape?) and the knives aren't the best or the sharpest. BUT for the price, I really can't complain with everything that this comes with.

I have bought a number of different knives and from different manufacturers. I like a good knife! This set is the nicest to look at of all of them that I have bought, each one feels good in the hand and they are the sharpest knives I have ever used. I am very pleased I made this purchase!

These knives are wonderful. Highly recommend them… also love the magnetic board (just make sure you don't put any of your electronic devices near it!) :)
