Death In The High Lonesome (Mac Crow Thrillers Book 2)

Good second book
Tracker Mac Crow finds the tables turned, with a cunning killer stalking him & Rosa through a snowstorm in the mountains near the Canadian border. There was more American Indian religious mysticism in this one, and some adult sexual situations.

I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
This book is probably worth 4 stars, but I simply cannot give 4 with so many proofreading errors. I liked the characters. The author's training in martial arts, etc. give the story an authentic feel. I also like the insight into Native American attitudes and values, and am even more intrigued be the hint that there may be a lot more to Mac's skills than even he is aware of. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

Entertaining
EntertainingEasy to follow stand-alone. Some formatting errors, no graphic violence or drag-you-down drama.Intriguing, fast-paced storyline with descriptive writing that draws the reader into each scene. Believable dialogue and characters with distinct personalities. No desire to re-read this story. I am interested in other works by this author.

Excellent read
Wow. At last a writer really has it down. These novels are so realistic you feel as though you are actually there. Keep them coming ............

Enjoyed this book! Thanks for an exciting trip into the wilderness with Mac and friends to fight against the evil that could be anywhere. Loved the coyote. .........

Another page turner!
I really like the relationship once again building between Rosa and Mac. I just wish Mac would learn to use a gun! The little hints of mysticism are tantalizing. If you enjoyed the first Mac Crow adventure, you'll love this one!

Good story
The. Beginning had a bit too much karate descriptions for my taste ( I an an older female). That's the only negative I could find with this book. It is well written with interesting characters and a plot that keeps you wondering what is next. I found the tracking info educational as well as interesting and really liked the coyote inference.

Another Great Thriller from Clint Hollingsworth
I read the first novel in this series, really enjoyed it, and bought this one immediately afterward. It is as good as the first, with the same characters.on a new adventure. Really relaxing, enjoyable reading. Looking forward to the next one.

Wilderness thrills
Another great wilderness thriller, with 'can't put it down' action and characters you'd like to be. If you've got an interest in the outdoors, bushcraft, hunting, survival etc then you'll get something out of this. Read it.

a very enjoyable read for fans of action novels
This is a delightful and engrossing book for anyone who enjoys action novels. The writing is crisp, clean, and fast-paced. The plot has some interesting twists to it, and reminded me of the novels of John D. MacDonald. There is some discussion of mindfulness and spirituality nicely woven into the narrative - not too much, but enough to add some extra thoughtfulness. The weaving of bushcraft and tracking techniques into the narrative is well done, and adds a lot of enjoyable flavour to the novel.Mr. Hollingsworth is beginning to hit his stride as an author, and this book is a definite improvement over the first of the series (I quite enjoyed the first book, although not as much as #2).Perhaps I should also mention that on the day that I received the book (I had pre-ordered it), I dropped everything to read it and didn't stop until I had finished. I had only meant to read the first chapter, but once started I couldn't stop. Why 4 stars instead of 5? To me, 3 stars indicates something worth reading, 4 stars indicates that a book that has something special going for it in addition to being a very good read, and 5 stars is reserved for legendary books like "Dune" or "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress".
