I ordered this in the hope that I could convert my mountain bike from straight bars to provide a more upright posture. My first impression was of high quality and an ideal shape. I am not a bike mechanic but had these fitted in under an hour. I had to cut off the old handle grips, but it was time for a new pair anyway - It would be worth buying a new pair when ordering the bars. Everything fitted well, although I had the disconnect and rearrange the brake cables, as they needed more slack due to the longer bars. I have just completed a trial ride and the improved posture is certain to make a difference to my ageing back. I also purchased Selle SMP Big Bum Sprung Comfort Bike Saddle so I am all set for comfortable riding.

Fitted to my Raleigh hybrid to replace the standard straight bars it came with. Very light and comfortable. Posture/hand positioning now feels much more natural, making hills easier for instance. Every cyclist has their preferred posture, and the odd shape of these bars means that by adjusting them varying angles can be easily achieved that should suit most people. Apparently you can even put them on upside down for a retro look, but I haven't tried this. I would call myself a leisure/commuter cyclist, and I must have cycled a few hundred miles since fitting these. All I can say is the 'experience' is more enjoyable now I am not slumped down over the old straight bars - quite literally uplifting.

I bought these to fit to my mountain bike (GT Aggressor 3.0) as I find I needed a more upright riding position to save the pressure on certain body parts. Having long legs, I need to have the saddle up fairly high - higher than the handlebars - but with the slight rise and the backsweep of these, it has made things a lot more comfortable. Fitting was very easy and mostly the cables had enough slack in them to reach without adjustment. The only exception is the cable for the main sprocket changer on the left hand side. Since I hardly change this, I decided to leave it for now - it's certainly very much tighter now but not restrictive or dangerous. I have since purchased a stem-riser to give the bars a few more inches of height. The only downside was the packaging. The handlebar arrived in just a single grey plastic bag which had split allowing one end of the bar to poke out. Fortunately this did not result in any discernible damage but a little more thought and care with the packing would have been nice.

A quality product that has made our cheap fold-up bicycles from Halfords so much more compfortable to ride. We can sit further back and the back-strain we felt when riding wit hthe straight handle-bars has all but gone. Very easy to fit.

Got these to make riding my bike more comfortable but then decided I wanted more of a town bike so sold my bike at the time. The person who bought it was please they said was comfy.
