My mom lost almost 25 lbs!
Ok. I'm 33 and just had my 3rd baby and I decided to buy this book after my mom lost almost 25 lbs by doing it once through. I'm entering week 2 of the book and so far its easy and the ingredients are very easy as well. Not sure what other reviewers are referring to being difficult about it? I should note I (and my mother) already ate pretty healthy and work out 5 days a week typically so its was not too difficult . If you NEVER exercise and eat junk all the time, yea, you will likely find it pretty difficult and lose interest but I cannot get over the fact that my mom in her 50s is wearing smaller jeans than me. Stoked to start the journey.

Got me motivated
I just started the fasting today. I enjoyed the book but do agree with some reviews there is nothing new but if it motivated me, that's ok. There are some editing errors that make some recipes difficult to understand. I have never read a book that had errors, Also, the food should be in alphabetical order rather than random lists that take time when you need to look something up.

Great book
I just received this book and have already decided I love it. My only caution would be for those who are naive to fasting, there does appear to be a significant typo as to when one can eat. I feel this would be very confusing if you didn’t realize what it was “supposed”to say/mean. (We don’t eat while fasting.)There are a few other editing errors as well.Other than that, this is a great book with well defined science to back it up.I can’t wait to get started.Great job ! Great book !

A bit disorganized
The plan has merit, but I feel like the book is lacking in a lot of ways. It is not always well written, several times listing references to the wrong page. Stating 2 different quantities of the same food on the same list. Sometimes some very confusing and not clealry written instructions. I think it would be easier to follow if there were some scientific explanations for the wide swings from week to week. No alternatives for daily exercise to accommodate different levels of fitness. I have been on it for 4 weeks and have lost 13# so I know it works, however that is with out much activity due to physical limitation. I will complete the 9 weeks and adopt those weeks that worked for me in the future.

This plan is a lifestyle not just another diet book
This is a great plan with so much diversity whether you are vegetarian, carnivore, pescatarian or just want to get healthy and lose weight. Over the 9 weeks of the plan I lost 15 pounds and I am 63 years young with hypothyroidism. The food choices are great and this is a plan you can use as a lifestyle. Another great book by Dr. Ian Smith. I highly recommend it.

So effective, this approach is very educational and really works!
I had been wanting to lose a little weight, and when I saw Dr. Smith on Good Morning America, his approach really spoke to me. It has worked so well. I’ve lost a pound a week pretty steadily, and am just about at my goal weight - so I’m totally a fan of his approach and will keep it up! Highly recommend!

This book will change your life
Dr Ian Smith is a genius. Easy weight loss which is fun and easy. No calorie counting. Easy choices of good healthy food. I feel so good. Weight loss and inches lost. Great support team on Facebook. I’m so glad I saw Dr Smith on tv 3 months ago. BUY THE BOOK!
