Safety 1st Finger Pinch Guard

This is one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon!My 2 cats like to come and go from my bedroom, and usually I just keep a shoe in the door to keep it from closing. Lately, though, one of the cats has been moving that shoe to purposely make me get up to come and move it back. ( She just wants food! )I needed something to hold it open about 5 inches(for the cats to go thru it) but also wouldn't need un-attaching and then re-attaching every time I want to leave my room.This thing fit on my door just fine. It's a firm foam, so has some give, but it's not soft enough to slam the door shut. Depending on where you place it on the top of the door, it can be kept further open or less. It can be kept on the top of the door or on the inside face.The only downside is that I have to stand on tiptoe to get it off the top of the door whenever I want to close the door.I am SO glad I ordered this!

I looked everywhere for a safety device to keep my piano lid from falling on my grandson's little fingers. I could not find anything that would not involve damaging the piano's finish and even the one that I did find, at a music supply company, cost about $89.00. When I came across these Safety 1st Finger Pinch Guards on Amazon, very inexpensive as an "add on" item, I thought they might be flexable enough to do the job. I ordered one to give it a try. It worked!! (see pictures on the Product Detail page) The soft foam is flexable and soft, so you can stretch it a little to fit over the edge of the piano lid to hold it in an open position. I tried to pull the lid down, but it stayed secure. SUCCESS!! I sent for another guard to put on the opposite end of the piano lid for extra security. (see pictures) My grandson could pull the guards off if he really wanted to, but once he got used to them being there, he wasn't interested in touching them. As with all safety devices, nothing is truly "kidproof". I would still keep an eye on him while he plays at the piano, but the lid is not easily going to slam down on his fingers. If your piano lid is similar to the one I have shown in the pictures, these finger guards work well.

Upon purchasing something to prevent our doors from opening too far for our cat to escape our overly-playful at times dog, we also wanted to ensure she couldn't be accidentally locked into any rooms. We happened upon these.They are really just a foam block that fits various door sizes and you simply place them wherever to adjust how much space will always remain open. As many seem to have commented, you can make this yourself at home, but I liked the look and it was effortless to purchase.You can add them to whatever door and move wherever to adjust. You can also easily remove, making it portable and so far hasn't cracked or torn or left any marks on the doorframe/wall.No complaints, as it is exactly as advertised. It puts our minds at ease knowing if we are out for an extended period of time our pet(s) cannot lock themselves in any rooms we want kept open for them to venture into.

We have 2 bloodhounds that sleep in our bedroom, but we have to give them access to the dog door at night. So we put this nifty little thing on the door, and it allows them the freedom to open the door with their noses to get to the dog door, while not leaving our bedroom door wide open all night when we are trying to sleep undisturbed. The soft material of the door guard keeps the door from slamming, and we can just put something close to the back of the door to keep our youngest and more rambunctious girl from busting through the door like nut that she is and slamming the back of the door into the wall. This has been an awesome purchase for us.

These are a must have item for all parents! Not only are they great for making sure fingers don’t get hurt in doors or hinges, but they also keep kiddos from getting shut in doors. Easy to remove and put on since there is absolutely zero installation, residue, etc since it literally just slips on and off the door.
