works like a charm.
amazing little product! works just like having your own little A/C unit on your desk.i used 1 bottle of 'Smart Water' from out of the fridge when i filled up the tank with water. it is virtually silent on setting #1it does blow nice cold air onto you. it is far better than a fan that just blows warm/hot air onto you.

Not worth £100
I was lucky as paid just shy of £50 for this which imo is the very max of what it's worth. It does a decent job of keeping you cool as a desk fan and is nice and quiet barring the top 2 settings. It appears to be very well made and is an attractive, compact item to keep on your desk, especially with the nice ambient light. My only concern at the moment is replacement cartridges and their cost but for now I'm reasonably happy with the purchase and it is keeping me nice and cool. It's decent and does its job but it definitely is not worth over £100 though and I would not have bought it at that price.

Alomst too good. Worth buying if you don't like the heat indoors.
I purchased the evaCHILL to combat the current high temps both day and night. The product arrived quickly after ordering, was easy to set up and works as expected. I did find it a bit too cold at times, but this was with the device placed not that far away from me. If you position it in the right place and use the right fan speed setting (depending on the current conditions), you can get a really nice, refreshing breeze on you. The blue lighting is a nice touch also, especially being able to turn that on and off independently from the fan itself. I would recommend this to somebody who needs cooling down in hot temperatures.

DANGEROUS - Don't Waste Your Money
Mixing water and electricity does not work and with this product, it just goes to highlight why you shouldn't buy it. After using it for a couple of months I felt that it helped initially to reduce the heat and cool the surrounding area. What I didn't expect if for it to start making electrical noises and giving the smell of burning plastic. I would suggest this is taken off the market and given a thorough safety review.PLEASE DO NOT USE IT I wasted my money and do not feel it safe to use.

It does really work for personal use
It is a very nice and compact great looking air cooler + humidifier. It serves it's purpose in full. It perfectly fits on my small desk (I work from home) and cools me down during hot summer days. It is specifically good if you have problems with sweating hands when typing and playing games using keyboard / mice

Expensive and slow delivery of both cooler and replacement cartridges
At first this product performed well as a personal cooling system. The controls are simple and effective. Topping up the water is quick and easy. USB C power supply makes this a great portable unit. The fan is 'relatively' quiet. Overall this is a very considered design.However... The indicator light is too bright if planning to use this at night. I've covered mine with insulator tape and it still shines through. The backlight is very useful, but it is blue and I would have preferred red, again for night use. Most importantly, delivery of the unit is slow (although this may have been exacerbated by Covid19). Also after 3 weeks of frequent use, the filter began to smell and shows clear signs of bacteria growth on the back edge. Replacement filter cartridges take almost two weeks to deliver and the total cost (with delivery in the UK) is almost half that of the original cooler. I'm not sure it's worth further investment and may just buy an alternative.

Great for small space like bedroom
This product works really well for a smallSpace like next to the bed at night. I am really impressed as there were some mixed reviews. The function on it could be improved, instead of having to push it several times for settings, be easier if you could have individual settings, it’s not a biggie thoughts. The water tank is small and may not last throughout the night and the addition of a sleep timer would be perfect. My only real quibble is the price, it’s a bit expensive, they would probably sell More if it was £50-70.

Pretty Good for what it is
The technology could not be simpler you fill the water and a highly absorbent filter absorbs it and then a small very quiet fan blows air through the filter. On a particularly hot day I tend to reduce the amount of cold water I put in the device at any one time and instead add some ice cubes, which is enough to last a couple of hours at a time. It's not essential but does make a slight difference. Now if you are expecting this to cool down a whole room forget it - it's a fraction of the price of a fully installed air conditioning system for a reason. There's no refrigerant, compressor, condenser, inverter, evaporator, holes in walls, a dedicated power supply, internal and external units, a team of installers or electricity costs that will make your eyes water. Instead the Evapolar is simply a 9w fan that runs off USB that pushes air through water and delivers cool air onto your body - cool enough for comfort whilst working from home.Mine is sat on my desk just in front of me on fan setting 2. Its very quiet and nobody notices when i'm on a conference call - except me as I'm not overheating.I also own a desk fan but that just swirls the hot air around whereas the Evapolar genuinely cools me. Furthermore, I have sensed zero humidity in the room as the water evaporates - I suspect a hot cup of tea will generate significantly more humidity in the air.I should also point out that I am fortunate enough to have air conditioning in some areas of my home and was considering having it fitted in my office. However, the fact that the Evapolar can keep me cool at my desk by providing a focused beam of cool air is good enough for me.Just to add - water and electricity don't mix so the trick is to fill the water when the device is not connected. Filling the water could not be easier and spillage would take some doing but I did manage it whilst picking up a phone call. I just let the components dry out before switching it on.
