Solid, configurable rain fly
I have used this tarp multiple times since I got it as one of the first backers. It got a small tear near the middle almost immediately, I'm very careful with my stuff so I am not sure how it happened. Other than that the tarp itself has been fantastic. Very configurable, and I love all the tie-outs. It is also very large, biggest rain fly I have ever used. If you are setting this up for a hammock you need to make sure you have a lot of space around, I have found that in multiple situations it was just too big for the back county in Oregon to setup properly. If, however, you are not hemmed in with lots of trees, this rain fly is really quite amazing and diverse. The only other negative I have is all the "extras" are really low quality throw ins. The cordage is weak, the line tensioners are cheap plastic and the stakes are below par. All are easily replaceable and they may be just fine for the typical car camper, but backpackers are going to use what they have or get new stuff immediately.Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and I am glad I backed such a great company.EDIT 7/25Jason reached out to me and replaced the tarp at no charge whatsoever which I think is amazing. The tear is really the only thing I have found wrong with the tarp and hasn't had any problems since. I often find it is hard to find companies who not only provide solid products, but are willing to stand behind those products. I'm very glad I backed Go Outfitters and look forward to seeing what future products they will release.

Lightweight & sturdy
Haven't had a chance to test it out yet however it "expelled" the previous tarp from my hiking gear without even using it! I can already see it's the boom. I've been using a large sheet of "washed" Tyvek which makes an excellent ground cloth. However when trying to use it where you need to stake it down and/or tie it off, those peel and stick grommets that come with the Tyvek sheets are for sheet ($#!+)! They're not very sturdy. Not only is this lighter (won't be using it for ground cloth) the tie off loops are heavy duty and well sewn. Looks to be very sturdy. Packs down really light into the bugout bag I keep my 3-piece military sleeping bag system in. This dude kicks butt. I will probably get another one. Looking forward to some field testing soon. Oh?!?...the company has exceptional customer service. I had a problem with another product I bought from them and they went above and beyond. Frankly they provided a "solution" I didn't even ask for, nor would I. IMPRESSIVE to say the least. I'm a customer for life...

Worked Great in Heavy Winds
Took this with me hammock camping at McDill Point on Cheaha Mountain last week (camped at the lookout/no tree cover). Winds were very strong, and this trap held all night (closed ends). Great tarp and at a great price.Everything included is great, and perfect if you are a more fair weather camper. For those who camp/backpack more often (including in bad weather), I replaced the stakes with some higher quality ones I already had and I will end up replacing the rope.Overall, great tarp for the money. I took the stuff sack they give you and it carries my tarp, hammock, and suspension.

Makes a great rainfly!
Took this camping with me back in February. Used it as a rainfly for my ENO hammock and bugnet! I loved it! It give so much more room to walk under it when you have to get up in middle of night to used restroom and it comes down to the ground almost it keeps you dry! It is not very intuitive so make sure you walk the videos on how to set it up before taking it out. You can set it up in a few different configurations which is nice! Highly recommend! My buddies I was camping with were impressed with it.

Best price to weight ratio I found
Great value tarp for hammock camping. I didn’t keep it because it wasn’t quite what I was looking for, but compared to others I have seen the build quality of the tarp was excellent. Very lightweight compared to others as well. The cordage and stakes were sub-par, but easy and inexpensive to replace while still making this an overall less expensive package than any others I could find in this quality range.Double ended stuff sack was a nice touch as well.

Rad tarp, wrong color.
For the money, there is no better option. This tarp is tough, large, and light. My only issue is that the one I was sent was clearly not the grey color I ordered, nor either of the two other color options. Instead,it was a really dark green. Pretty ugly and doesn't match any of my other gear but it arrived the day I needed it for a trip so returning it wasn't an option.Thankfully, color doesn't affect its ability to protect from rain or wind.

Camped in a decent storm.... LOVED IT!!!!
I paired this with the Go Camping Hammock 2.0 and was in a fun storm at 9000 feet. Once it was all set up everything held for over 48 hours (to be fair I did use the super long nail stakes). But the material was great kept everything under it dry as a bone. I'm really excited for the next adventure with this setup!!

Weight not what was listed. I didn't get wet !
The weight is not what I expected. My scale says the tarp weighs 1.5 lbs or 24 oz , the total kit weight 2.14 lbs or 34.24 oz. I have been able to get the total weight down to 1.82 lbs or 29.12 oz with different stakes and guy lines that I was planning on using anyway but had the tarp weighed the 21 oz that is advertised my total weight would have been 24 oz. maybe I got a chubby tarp, I set it up in the yard with my trekking poles and over all seems like a quality tarp , a few threads were out of sorts but nothing major. Looking forward to how it performs in the rain ..... also the hardest part is getting it back in the bag.Set the tarp up over my mesh tent to test out the set up I plan on using on hikes. Knew the rain was coming so I set one side of the Apex on the ground facing inbound rain and the left the other side up off the ground. It rained modestly early on with no issues, around 0530 the pic I attached rolled in with heavy rain wind and lightening. There was some splash on the tent but nothing came through the mesh or the top of the tarp. I am going to seem seal all the seems to help with the drying out process. Add .5 stars
