My kid was quite impressed with this as a Christmas present however I was in 2 minds to return as it is quite underwhelming. There is absolutely no weight to it so the pieces are prone to being knocked over very easily. The board is okay. When researching there was quite a difference in quality and price so I guess this is the about the standard to expect for what was paid.

What a shame ! Pictures look good but there are so many things bad about this chess set.1- the green fell has malted all over the chess pieces2- the pieces are cheap hollow plastic and the felt is so poor quaility three pieces do not even stand up and fall over3- the very stronh smell of chemicals im guessing from the pain ?All in all a shamefully cheap product from amazon. Shocked at the poor quaility of all of it. Worth about £10 not £50.

Beautiful set. The board is of excellent quality, the figures are beautiful but obviously plastic and lack weight so something to consider but for my Viking/Norse obsessed son a lovely artefact to treasure and worth the price paid.

Chess set looked ok but had an overpowering, very unpleasant chemical smell, therefore had to return it.

I liked it more than I expected- I bought it for my partner. I did expect the pieces to be more of a heavy material- they are just plastic, but they have good detail

Good item looks lovely well worth it but delivery drive is bad as threw the package over back fence luckily it wasn't damaged

This was a lovely Christmas gift for my son.There was so much detail to the board a beautiful well designed and detailed piece.An ideal present for a chess enthusiast
