I work as the fry cook at a restaurant, so every closing shift I am in charge of filtering the frying oil. If you have never had the displeasure of getting burned by oil that's around 350 degrees (F), you are very fortunate. I bought these gloves so I wouldn't have to hold the hot metal nuzzle and the hot hose of our oil filtering machine with cleaning rags. These gloves work much better than rubber ones I used at a previous job; these are more heat resistant and won't melt under intense heat. I have pretty small hands, but my gloves fit me pretty well. Do my hands get toasty while I'm cleaning the fryers? Yes, but I wasn't expecting these gloves to ignore the laws of thermodynamics, and warm hands are much better than burnt hands. I love them so much, I am going to buy a pair for my step-dad, who always burns himself when he's cooking on the grill.

My original thought was that these are way too big! However, when you consider that they are to be used as a oven mit, the large size works. These are a little unwieldy, but once you understand how to properly get your fingers in, they offer much more control of any hot thing you are trying to retrieve. The heat resistance is out of this world! This is true heat resistance, comfortable and controllable and no hot spots. I cannot speak to endurance or cleaning, but if that is consistent with the reliability of the heat resistance, this is a real winner...

The gloves work good but not as great as I thought they would you can still get burned.

Big on hand but covers high on the wrist, which I require. Able to hold hot items from oven or microwave for 5-10 seconds to counter without issue. Havent tried holding an item longer for no good reason. Washes well. Goes in dryer.

Love these heat resistant cooking glove. Of course like any other cooking glove if you get it wet the heat goes right through . The glove is large enough for me and I have long fingers and my husband has more bulky hands they work for him too. Great grip on them love the stars.

We bought the Ove Glove when they came out on TV. We had a drawerful of oven mitts but the Ove Glove was what everyone would go for. It was old, dirty, and wouldn't come clean. I finally decided to buy these. Dark color is great (never shows stains) and they are dual-sided (not necessarily left or right... just grab one). Should have done this years ago! And, there are two of them!

This is a great glove. It goes up pretty far on my arm. It offers a bit of a stretch but that isn't an issue for me. I am female with a medium to large hand. Quality of glove is nice.

Very big. Awkward to work with

Love these. Maybe too big for someone with very small hands but they're fine for me. The cuffs help hold them on securely. Not felt heat in handling roasting tins straight out of the oven. Really good where dexterity is required - dishes and bowls don't slip out of my grip. Just don't get them wet!

Excellent ~ no or very little heat transfer

These are great. They are, to be honest, pretty much like other heatproof gloves - except they fit well, are comfortable, flexible, make grasping trays and grills easy and, what's more, they damn well look good. I use them mainly on my BBQ and they have made life a lot easier than using the silicone mitts I had before. Buy some, you won't be disappointed.
