Suicide Squad, The (DVD)

I know there will be a ton of comments on the "anti-american sentiment" - news flash, ALL governments are shady and have done things they would rather not be shown to the world. The US, included. So I have zero problems with that storyline. I love patriotic movies and when I'm in the mood for those, I'll watch those!I really enjoyed this movie. Comic relief and all. I wish they hadnt killed off so many great characters but it was still fun to watch. Leave politics at the door (or room opening) and just sit down and watch a fun work of fiction.

Gorey, funny, and has lots of action.These are not superheroes. They're villains' put into a hero role.Some bad reviews mention poor writing. Personally I liked it.Some bad reviews mention the negative tone towards the US. It's fiction, get over yourself.My only qualm is that fact that it does feel like a long movie. But I think that's more on me than the movie. When I think about where the movie could have been cut to shorten the time nothing immediately comes to mind.Perfect? No. What movie isEnjoyable? Absolutely.Re-watch value? 100%Overall: It was a genuinely well built movie that's getting hate bombed because some people read too far into the fictional settings and forget to just enjoy it for what it is. This was excessively gory (and well deserving of its R rating) which stinks because you can't watch this with your kids (and let's face it, they're your "super hero" audience). They bring back almost none of the original cast and it seems like just when you start to get to know a character they're gone. And the plot is all over the place - none of the pieces seem to fit, it's like they start with one idea, then jump to another before they finish up anything else and the monster?! I've seen better special effects from an old Godzilla movie. This was more like something Elvira would have mocked mercilessly back in the day. If they wanted to make this goofy and campy with the ridiculous starfish monster, then why all the gore? It's like they couldn't decide what movie they were making.

The first film has a back story for each character. This movie started out as a joke. So much cursing, gore, bad jokes that it left little for a plot. Margo Robin was a saving grace but the director really stretched or rather limited her role. The anti US sentiment was also unnecessary. Idris Alba always a great actor but his role was lacking by the writers/directors. Save your money and wait for the general release. I've been reading DC and Marvel comics since the 60s. This is an insult.

Wow, I feel like James has been holding back on us. Nice to see DC turn that mad man loose. It is very rare to get a movie that is so much fun to watch over and over again, as an adult. This is that movie. I could watch it everyday. Out of 5, I'd give it a 10.

This movie is AWESOME. Its hilarious first of all I am so glad I bought it because I have to pause it every 10 seconds from dying laughing. The storyline is great and the antiheroes interactions with each other is fluid and flawless. A great James Gunn film. Some of the scenes with John Cena had my heart all aflutter.....damn. Margot and Idris shine. In the beginning people were all mad because there were so many deaths I'm sorry I thought that was priceless especially Michael Rooker...stole the scene.

Some parts were good, some parts were meh, the dialogue was pretty crappy, the action scenes when they happened were good, it's was only ok, had I watched this in a movie theatre first, I would not have bought it, nowhere near as good as the first one.

I expected too much. Is it just me or are pandemic ratings useless. I was so looking so forward to this movie. I like all the actors but its just junk, but same experience as other movies. Come on guys and gals, your just making money, no real value here.
