I wanted to get into woodcarving over the summer, but it seemed like a pretty difficult hobby to just pick up out of the blue. Several YouTubers recommended BeaverCraft for beginner tools and wood, so I decided to bite. This basswood has proven to be exactly what I needed for starting out with carving! The wood is incredibly soft (for a wood--it's not like clay), so it makes whittling and carving a breeze. The size and quantity of the blocks are also amazing, coming with about 12 long pieces and 6 cube pieces for various projects. A lot of videos you can find online utilize the longer blocks, so I appreciated the large amount they sent me.
