The BEST cleansing balm
The media could not be loaded. I’ve ordered this product multiple times because it’s seeiously so good! First I love that it’s a clean formula since I have sensitive skin I’m always looking for “cleaner” ingredients in my skincare products, and it’s k beauty so that’s a plus. Second I love that it’s a balm, cleansing oils I’m not a big fan of when it comes to double cleansing, but this balm is amazing. It comes w a scoop and you need just a small amount, it’s is so smooth, buttery & silky and just melts so well into your skin. Once you add water it’s gets milky & melts away any makeup/oil/sunscreen & it just overall feels so nice on the skin. The scent is very light, just clean & refreshing. Definitely recommend & will continue to reorder everytime :)

Works great to melt makeup
I am a double cleansing girlie and this is an awesome cleansing balm for my first step. It melts away makeup and even waterproof mascara and rinses clean. I enjoy the very slight lavender smell. Like it's almost non-existent, which is why I like it.

Perfect Cleansing Balm - and Inexpensive!
I love this cleansing balm! I am always looking for the best product (in this case a cleansing balm) with the best price. This is both - but so much more. The under $10 price is great and it comes in 3 oz. Usually these things come in a paltry 1.7 oz for the same cost or (usually) more. It is as good a cleansing balm as any that I have tried. I used to use Clinique's cleansing balm, which is good, but significantly more expensive. This has a smooth texture and feel, melts onto my skin and cleanses thoroughly without stripping my skin of the moisture barrier. It rinses off easily and cleanly. No residue. I have mature, dry skin and this helps my face look and feel dewy and soft. The scent is light and lovely - a cross of lavender and green tea. Between the reasonable cost, significant quantity and great quality plus refreshing scent, I will be a regular customer for years to come.

Only meets 1 out of 3 of my criteria. :(
Okay, so I have fine eye lashes, which means that even though I don't wear waterproof mascara, I really layer it on. It, also, means I am looking for something that:1. Begins to break down the makeup before scrubbing, so I'm not breaking or yanking eyelashes out.2. Removes the makeup completely without leaving raccoon eyes.3. Doesn't leave such an oily film that even after a follow up wash and washing my face in the morning my eyelashes are greasy. It succeeds at the first. Lathering on some cream and adding a little water relaxed the eyelashes enough that I felt like I could begin to scrub the makeup away - but, with a silicone scrubber, not a soft brush.CRITERIA 1: PASSStill, even after I really gave them a workout, I had faint raccoon eyes and it looked like I was wearing eyeliner. Boo, but okay, the listing noted you needed to follow up with a gel or foam cleanser.CRITERIA 2: Soft FAIL (didn't meet my criteria, but wasn't disparate to product details)To address the raccoon eyes, I ended up using both a foaming facial cleanser and a witch hazel based astringent, but still went to bed with oily/greasy eyelashes. Same thing after washing my face in the morning. If you have fine eyelashes, you know this is the kiss of death as far as achieving long, full and non-lumpy lashes.CRITERIA 3: FAILBecause it does seem to protect the eyelashes, I'll experiment with a few other face washes (on the weekends) until I've used up the product. But, if I can't find a single after use wash option to leave my eyelashes makeup ready the next day, I would not purchase this again.

Better than others by far
I've had this jar for a while as I was using up another balm. Just used it tonight for the first time and it's absolutely better than any other makeup removing balm I've tried. It removed my waterproof mascara and it rinsed perfectly clean. There is no scent. Save your money and get this instead of any other that you're looking at because this could not possibly have performed any better.

Amazed even an esthetician
This review is gonna be a long one so strap in!So I have been an esthetician for almost five years now and even before I became one I was obviously very into skincare; so I have tried my fair share of cleansing balms. From Banilla Co, Heimish & Beauty of Joseon to Clinique and Farmacy (to name a few) I have tried cleansing balms from several different countries and I must say I am definitely a snob when it comes to cleansing balms. Here are my basic cleansing balm standards:• Must be able to wash off without residue & without the aid of a washcloth ✔️• Must remove ALL makeup (absolutely no tolerance for raccoon eyes even with the most stubborn waterproof mascara) ✔️• Must come with a spatula to maintain cleanliness (not a deal breaker, but bonus if there is separation between the balm and spatula; which this balm does have) ✔️• Leave little residue in the eyes. I shouldn’t have to blink through oily, blurry eyes for the rest of the night. ✔️• No perfumy smells or added fragrance. This product has a natural earthy smell. ✔️Now obviously the ingredients matter as well so let’s go through a couple:•Ethylexyl Palminate: a typical ingredient in a cleansing balm. This is what turns the oil into a milky substance when water is added that allows the balm to leave no residue behind once washed of. This ingredient is known to be pore clogging, but because it is a first cleanse and we should be using another cleanser to follow it, I have never been overly concerned with this ingredient. I have extremely acne-prone skin and this ingredient in cleansing balms has never broken me or my clients out.• Rapeseed oil, Tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E), Ivy Guord, Green Tea, Eggplant, Holy Basil, Turmeric, & Moringa Seed Oil: Can you believe I left some ingredients out of this category to make it smaller? These are all varying ingredients that accomplish similar goals: skin condition agents and antioxidant support. Holy basil is also known to have a skin tightening and firming effect. Along with this many of these ingredients help to calm the skin.• Amber Powder: not an ingredient I see very often, but amber is finely ground to create an extremely gentle physical exfoliation.• Lavender & Grapefruit Peel Oil: These are the only two ingredients that MAY cause problems for some people. Keep in mind the grapefruit is the very last ingredient making it almost negligible. But some people who are sensitive may have issues from the lavender. I personally have quite sensitive skin, but have never had issues with essential oils and this balm is no different.• They also put the pH on the packaging. Major bonus points for that.Overall this balm hits all of the marks for a great cleansing balm and at an insanely low price. The ingredient deck blew me away and the product feels amazing on the skin. It is just as good as Korean cleansing balms and at a price most can afford. It washes off with ease, removes all makeup, and doesn’t leave a residue behind. This product is not just “good for the price”; it’s amazing in its own right and the price is just a bonus! Thank you AOA for keeping your prices low all these years. Back in the day I was buying AOA makeup off of ShopMissA and so I can’t say I’m surprised that they’ve done it again with a hit product. The only people I would caution are those with overly sensitive skin and potentially those with a compromised barrier from the lavender, but most will have no issues. I will definitely continue using and recommending this product!!
