Kalesa Watercolor Brush Marker Pens, 1.5 mm Pointed Felt Nib, Medium Firm Tip, Set of 12 Colors

These pens have great color and they are fun to write with, my only problem with them is that some of the tips are firmer than others which makes it hard to make consistent strokes with different colors. Other than that, they are great!

I love these brush markers. There is no reason to give these marker anything below a 5 star. I have been doing calligraphy for 33 years and brush lettering is something that I have started to work on and I am fairly new at it. As a calligrapher, we tend to be very picky about our writing tools, so selecting pens that will work for me and I am comfortable with is very hard to do. This set of brush pen markers has made it nice learning a new way of drawing letters. Customer service is excellent and they strive to make sure that their customers are happy. I'm loving these pens! The colors are really vibrant. They work great with or without an additional brush (sometimes I dip my watercolor brush in water and brush over the colors to make the watercolor more transparent and blended). I find myself using them as regular pens sometime, and they give my paintings the extra watercolor feel compared to regular pens.I also bought Heart Nuvo's Nightscape pens since I'm feeling artistic these days and getting back into watercolor. These pens are easier to control than the Nightscape pens since the brushes are shorter (so feel harder). I'd say if you're not used to the soft tips of watercolor pens, go with these Kalesa pens first before trying the Nightscape pens.

The seller definitely did their best to keep good communication through the ordering process, which is awesome.The pens are pretty thin, and in between the size I was expecting. (I was expecting something longer pen-wise) But they are still a good size. The brush is not super firm, it is pretty paint-brushy, so it wouldn't be my first recommendation for lettering, but they are definitely great for watercolour art, specially for details.Good product all in all.

These are really nice, economical brush pens. Vivid colors, great saturation. I've been using them for calligraphy practice and they give a good range of thin-to-thick strokes. My only, very minor, complaint is that the very tip of some of the brush tips is ever so slightly bent, giving a wonky stroke on some thin upstrokes. But would definitely buy again!

After excitedly waiting for my Kalesa Watercolor Brush Marker, they arrived faster than I expected and they didn't disappoint.It's smaller than I initially expected. I did like the way the packaging looked and the clean artwork design. It did come in a protective plastic film which I think they can do without.The ink is good. It flows really well to the tip of the pen. The colors are interesting and have a variation that aren't all your traditional primary colors. As such I felt I had a wide color spectrum when I started off with my paintings.The one thing I will to point out is that this product is probably more for someone with painting experience who will appreciate the ability to do slightly more detailed work. The tip of the pen is flexible and I personally like that. However I can see it being somewhat challenging if this is your first watercolor set and you haven't used a detail brush before.

I had a lot of fun using these brush pens. Art is just a hobby for me, and these pens were just what I needed. Watercolor paper worked well for the posters I was making, and the pens are well-suited for the heavy application I used to color entire 9"x12" pages. The spectrum of colors in the pack is great. I haven't yet tried adding a bit of water to my technique, but I bet the brushes would allow me to get interesting results that way. In the meantime, the brushes give a nice texture that's a mix of paint and marker, with clean and easy application. Recommended for a range of projects, from simple to experimental!

I ordered them because I paint watercolors and I needed something extra fine for straight edges and writing. I used them already and the colors are very vibrant and the tips are very fine and are easily controlled to get the results you need!!! I did look up the tutorials on them and it shows how to put some on a paper and blend with water and I tried that and did not find that too work too good. But for what I bought them for, they work great!!!
