Tension Rods, WindBreath 16" by 28" Pack of 2 Spring Tension Rods Shower Adjustable Closet Rod, White

When I first opened these I was taken back by how think they were. I've had both of them tensioned in my closet, completely full with clothes hanging and they haven't buckled under the pressure yet. I screwed a short piece of 2x4board for support under each end of the tension rods for extra support, so I don't know if they would've slipped down under all of the weight, but like I said, so far they still haven't buckled under the weight. For this price they are worth every penny, I definitely recommend.

I used these to hand some semi-sheer ruffled curtains. They were perfect for the job. I had 2in faux blinds originally but the string broke. I wanted a different look. I popped out the blinds and used this rod to hand the curtains. They fit right inside the blinds' hardware. I didn't have to bother with removing the hardware which was nice for me...especially since I like to change my decor every few years.

Tension rods were thinner than I expected them to be based on the pictures used for the product.When you twist the tension rod to extend it, it twists very easily, almost to the point where it feels loose. They are made out of a nice metal, and have rubber guards on the ends. They hold up my blackout curtains very nicely without damaging the wall around them.Overall, they're nice and definitely get the job done. They are worth the price, since that's about what a tension rod this size would cost in stores. These seem like they will hold up well over time. I will update this in the future.

It’s not the sturdiest extension rod out there but it works well, I use it for my closet, I do not recommend putting a butt load of clothes and hangers on because it WILL fall and collapse, make sure the rod is COMPLETELY tightened ALL the way before putting stuff on it.

They are much thinner than I expected. So they are pretty flimsy. I read the dimensions and it said expands to 48 inches plus the size of the end caps. Now, yes it did say to allow for some size discrepancy however the space I put them in is 47 inches and the rods barely extend that far and are not tight in place at all. I'm going to try them for a day or two and see if they stay in place or not before I decide to return them.

These tension rods are held in place by will alone. I am using it to hang a light curtain and a lace curtain, so it doesn't need to hold much weight, and it's a good thing, because this is a very tenuous agreement between my design plans and gravitational pull.So, my expectation was it would use a spring to hold tension, but instead, it uses a very flimsy quarter turn to hold the rod in place, which means when you're trying to size it - you're probably going to struggle, especially if this is over your head or if you are using it at it's longer length. Once it's in place - DO NOT TOUCH IT. If you bump it, brush it, or look at it too long, it's going to fall. Since there is no spring, only a twist tighten, even the slightest change in placement on one side or the other will cause it to come crashing down.Technically works, but if there is any chance you will need to touch what you've hung, get a spring tension rod. Had I realized - I never would have purchased this one.

I had great difficulty finding a rod for my 16.25" window and was relieved to finally come across these (the vast majority of short rods start at 18"). We just purchased a new home and none of the windows had window treatments. I needed to put up something quick that could provide privacy. These tension rods worked like a charm! I have them throughout my house, including the bathrooms. I love that I didn't need to put holes in the window frames which was a huge plus. At first, they were going to be a temporary fix until we put blinds up, but we love them so much that I am keeping them up on all my windows!
