I got my second Costway 58 Qtr., Freezer Refrigerator, and put it together, two days ago. After letting it sit upright for the recommended 3-6 hours, I plugged it in and gave it the MAX, Freezing Temperature test. I didn't time it so much as I wanted to know if the compressor was going to work well or not. It did not disappoint me. Checked on it after a few hours of working and it had the done the job. Interior temperature was below freezing and the compressor, was cycling off and on all day as it needed to maintain the temperature. So far, the only difference between my first one, now 18 months old and this one is that this one seems to be a little bit noisier. One other difference I noticed, is that the lid on the new one is a lot harder to open, than the old one, when it was new. I actually had to turn the F/F off, and let it sit for a while before I could get it open. ON the good side it keeps everything cold, on the bad side, my wife has to ask me to open it for her. Can't wait for my next camping trip, so I can load it up with our food, while I keep "my" drinks in the older unit. I highly recommend, and have done so many times to all that give me their ear... Thanks for keeping the cost low, so more people can enjoy this great product.

I’ve had the freezer for almost a year now, pretty solid investment. It still mostly freezes anything in the “fridge side” so if you’re getting this for produce you’re gonna end up being sad but the freezing part will keep your frozen stuff nice and cold. Uses minimal power, sounds a bit loud in a quiet camper but it’s a minor complaint. All in all would definitely buy again. Salmonella free since ‘23!

I love this "mini, portable fridge". We took it for a trip. Served its purpose. No complains.!! Than we had a huge party. Two fridge wasn't enough. This guy helped a lot. We gave it to a friend as a gift. He loves it. Spread the joy!!!!

My husband and I were very disappointed with this Costway Refrigerator/Freezer. When it arrived, the package was beaten up, my husband, who is somewhat tech-saavy, could not get the machine to work. He read the instructions twice and followed them, but the apparatus would turn on, but did not tool or freeze. We sent multiple emails and was greeted by a different person and we could not talk to a technical person. We were told to take a video which we could not send because it was too large, even when we got it down to 41 seconds. We ask them to send us a return label and we were offered $130, to have someone in our town to try to fix it. My husband didn't want to do that . All he wanted was for them to take back the one that was not working and send us one that worked. After multiple emails, they decided to cancel or order and give us the money back on our credit card. We were so disappointed, but we saw that our card was accredited. But, when I saw that on your account, it said reason for return was that we cancelled. That is NOT the whole truth. We still have the machine here, not sure what to do with it. My husband went back on line and researched some more machine and we purchased another brand called Upstream. This machine is working fine and we are satisfied with it. We DO NOT recommend working with Costway because of the hassle we had to go through.

This unit is well built, quiet, and cools down super fast! It stays in the back of my wife's SUV so she can buy groceries anytime without hunting ice. Very handy and practical for us.

Very nice cooler, we took it camping and it worked out great. Didn’t have to purchase ice.

Necessidy forced me to research refrigeration. Before then, I didn't know freezing tempertires can be accomplish with 12volts. In any case now I do, and I love this purchase.

Just got it today. Shipping was fast, came the first day of the estimate. Have had it plugged in all day. Cools down fast. It cools down to the set temperature, then when it warms up by about 3°c it kicks in. The left side is the colder side and the one that you set the temperature for. The right side appears to stay 2-6°c warmer. The middle divider slides out and the display changes to one temperature. There is also a nice light for inside that turns on when you open the lid. Haven't had it long enough to give a full performance review, but so far it works very well. I was very impressed when I got it

A few hiccups as the handles didn’t fit.The company made it right in a timely manner.The unit is very well insulated; things stay cool overnight turned off while not powered on.

Overall the product delivers as advertised. I have been running it for 2 months straight and no issues. It uses minimal energy as I am running camping batteries and solar charging.That said I am not running the freezer portion, just the fridge.A few design/build edits and it could be near perfect.1. The interface for temperature and settings is a bit muddled. It's like your microwave that flashes 12 all of the time because setting the time is a pain. I can set the temperature but despite the instructions other settings are a hassle. A few extra buttons would help alleviate this.2. Where the plug in is the plastic 'pushes' inward when pressing in the plug. I fear breaking the plastic if pushed too hard. I feel like when plugging something in it should be absolutely solid.3. It hovers at 41F all of the time. I can set it lower and it always ends up at 41. It maybe will lower for a bit.4. Went with orange and black which was my error. Black will absorb heat. Not the best color combo and thus why most coolers are light in color on the lid at least.Improvements: it'd be great if the water could be drained without reaching inside to the bottom to pull a plug. We can engineer this in the 21st century.The lid 'latching' a bit to ensure a snug fit.

I bought this to take with me on the road. I drive tractor trailer and it's fantastic.Yes it will actually freeze thingsYes it won't flatten the batterYes you can actually use it with a 12 volt plugYes you can use it with an inverterIt is well worth the money.
