Good flat response, no noticeable hiss.
I was looking for studio monitors and came across the Mackie MR624s. They use class A/B amps which produce much less hiss than other monitors. I am sitting a little less than a metre away and I can't hear any hiss at all - I have to get right up close to hear what small amount there is.In use they have sufficient bass (not room-shaking but I don't want that in a monitor) and are great for hearing all the little details. I'd recommend them.I ordered a pair from Amazon, but sadly they couldn't supply two, just one, so I bought the other from Scan for the same price. So, five stars for the speakers but only two for Amazon :(
