Fun and Quick Project
Another great basket kit from V.I. Reed & Cane. Good instructions. Plenty of material. From previous projects I learned I should cut some of the reeds a bit longer than instructed. Two inches additional on each rim band worked perfectly. So, 24" and 26" instead of the recommended 22" and 24". I cut the spokes longer than instructed, too, but this turned out to be unnecessary... this time. It's always easier to err on the side of being longer and cutting shorter later in the project if necessary.The design results in a nice looking basket with a nice tight weave.
