Loved the Rage Beneath & look forward to getting more Dark Shadows audio dramas

These audio plays based on the original Dark Shadows TV show are a true treat for DS fans. I own several of them and each is well written, well acted, and very satisfying. Each CD is approximately an hour or more in length and provides the DS fan with the opportunity to return to Collinwood and experience the further supernatural challenges faced by the Collins Family.THE RAGE BENEATH features original series cast members Lara Parker, David Selby, Kathryn Leigh Scott, and John Karlen once again playing their respective characters from the show: Angelique Bouchard Collins, Quentin Collins, Maggie Evans, and Willie Loomis. (In these audio shows, Maggie Evans is again the feisty, strong character she was at the beginning of the original series.) Marie Wallace and Robert Rodan also lend their acting talents in supporting roles. The character of Barnabas Collins enjoys a lot of air time in this particular episode, as played by Andrew Collins (not an actor from the original series). Fans of the original series will definitely miss Jonathon Frid playing Barnabas, but Andrew does an admirable job in the role and sounds at times a bit like Ben Cross who played the character in the 1991 revival of the series.THE RAGE BENEATH is fast paced and certainly engaging, with a fair share of jolting moments within its storyline. Fans will be pleased to hear Robert Cobert's fantastic music throughout the show and it is well used to create atmosphere and to support the story. The story here centers around the return of a haunted ship from 1794 whose captain is seeking revenge for wrongs he believes done to him by Barnabas' father, Joshua Collins.If you're a fan of DARK SHADOWS and have not yet indulged yourself with one of these audio shows, then do it now. You won't be disappointed.

If you are an original Dark Shadows fan (1960's), you'll enjoy this. It was fun to listen to and took me back to the old memories of the original series.
