Does what it should, gets signal to my outdoor camera!
I have a wireless camera pointed at the temp gauge on my wood boiler. The antenna that came with that camera was junk and I could never get it to connect to my wifi. Bough this, screwed on no problems, and stuck it (with it's magnetic base) to my boiler and boom - connected to wifi and works great!

It was an OK antenna
The antenna did not really help me with any range however, I did get a stronger signal.

Have to say I'm impressed
Using this with RTL-SDR to get temperature readings from Acurite sensors and the range is very impressive -- more than 200 ft and through walls.

I’m use it me gate door opening motor Works pretty good
Needs more longer cable

Huge signal loss in cable and base
Hopefully I am just a one off case.I went to measure the antenna, and found that it shows swr of 1.5 or less from about 200MHz to 600MHz. So a totally miracle antenna here </sarcasm>. To further check, I unscrewed the antenna, which you would expect to cause a perfect reflection at the antenna base, and allow you to just measure how much signal is being lost in the cable. Over the same range, just the cable and base showed of return loss of 13dB or higher, full range. A "decent" cable would measure maybe 6dB round trip loss, or 3dB one way, which indicates that half of the signal accepted by the antenna would be lost in the base and cable. So at half of 13dB, maybe 20% of the signal picked up from this antenna will make it to your receiver.
