Good RAM & beautiful effects - but poor quality control
Avexir Core Series 288-Pin DDR4 Ram with Led Lights12-02-163/5 StarsI paid $69.99 for two 8gb sticks3 stars because one of my stick’s LED lights is malfunctioning. The ram is functioning and is doing it’s job. Will give 5 stars when manufacturer decides to adhere to their “Life Time Warranty” policy...Concise Review:Pros+well priced & stylish pieces of artwork for computer build+great build quality but poor quality control (one of my ram stick’s LED lights is malfunctioning, the ram itself is working fine)+option to chose 6 different colors (blue, red, yellow, orange, green & white); you can’t change colors, you buy the color of your choosing and that’s the color the LED light will be+not too bright or too dim, comfortable in a dark room and doesn’t hurt your eyesCons-can’t adjust light pattern and it only has breathing pattern-no way to turn off the lights when you’re not in the mood-poor quality control because even though my ram works and does its job, one of the stick’s LED lights started malfunctioning shortly after installationGeek Review:~Speed comes at 2133mhz by default, but you go into the bios and can change it to 2400mhz. Your motherboard needs to have the XMP interface (some don't come with XMP). Turn XMP “on” or “enable” it in the BIOS, reboot your computer and it will now run at 2400. If your system crashes after the change, it means the ram is not supported by your motherboard. Try updating your motherboard’s bios to the latest version and see if it fixes the problem (doubt it’ll fix the problem, but it’s worth a shot)~The lower the Case Latency number, the faster the RAM. However, you honestly will not notice a difference during your daily computing. Benchmarking will increase by a few points and you might notice 2-3 frames more during gaming.~The “Brand” of a RAM does not matter because ALL RAM chips are made by one manufacturer and fancy things are added when they get assembled and repackaged for sale.
