Dal Raccolto Arborio Rice, 2-Pound (Pack of 4)

No way to tell if this is really Italian grown Arborio Rice. Searched Colvitas web but nothing that looked like the 2 lb packages I received.They do show the Dal Raccolto brand on the site so I assume they may be related. Amazon was responsive and reshipped but I recieved the same colavita again not Dal Raccolto . Amazons picture of the box side says long grain rice.No description on the packages I received. I decided to cook up a batch using a pressure cooker recipe and it did turn out creamy. Since I have never had risotta before I can't compare. I give it 4 stars based on Amazons trying to do whats right for the customer. This is the first time I was confused by a purchase but I must say I don't usually order from Grocery section. If I can figure how to add a photo later I will..hope this helps.

You shouldn't make risotto with anything other than arborio rice; this is the right stuff. Eight pounds seems like a lot, but it's vacuum-packed in boxes of two pounds, and so it should keep well. (However, I'm already into the second eight pound order because it's so good!) This is less expensive than buying smaller packages at the grocery.You can find the recipe for the smoked Gouda risotto in the pictures by searching for "emory cottage risotto".

This rice has a very good cost per quality. It adhere to the standard and the characteristic of the Arborio quality of rice.Very satisfied with it.

Works perfectly for risotto. Love that it comes in large packs. I make half a box at a time and have leftovers for two people.

I am very particular with arborio rice. This one holds very well its consistency when cooked for "risotto".

Once you eat arborio rice, it is hard to use anything else. This product was fairly price and good quality. I would definite purchase it again.
