The media could not be loaded.  I was looking for a reliable starter fly fishing setup to recommend to friends and family. I’ve been impressed before with the quality of Ventures Fly Co gear I’ve purchased previously. I received shipment in 3 business days and excitedly opened it. I wasn’t let down! Awesome presentation and inspiring to anyone who fishes. I was out in the rain and the dark casting in my yard in minutes. Great feel and everything is there! I scanned the UPC and went over educational stuff, the information is solid and simple to understand. I’m so excited to recommend this to family and friends. They will have everything they need and knowledge to get in the river and go! I took it out tonight and had 30 minutes of light to fish on local creek. Used only what was in the kit to set up line. 3x leader, cut off 2 feet and tied up a black Woolly bugger and tied cut line to bend of hook and then tied on olive whoolly bugger with non-slip mono loop. Done! Third cast on the swing hooked up a solid 18” rainbow. Awesome! Great casting with this setup, easily handled rig, loaded the rod well and solid accurate cast. Got dark quick tonight but I’m so impressed with this purchase. I have my “go to” when someone wants to get into the sport. Thank you for all the hard work in putting this together!

I was very intimidated about getting into fly fishing as I've always heard it's both expensive and hard to do. I bought the Ventures Fly Co Weekend Warrior package, watched their education videos, and headed out to the nearby river. I tied on the black ant fly, but couldn't see it well in the low light conditions so tied on the small orange stimulator, mostly because it was large enough for me to see the fly, and started casting. I caught this little rainbow on my 2nd cast with the stimulator. My only gripe is that the rod case doesn't have space for the reel, so to use it I'd have to fully breakdown the reel and rod each time. I spend an extra $30 and got a case with a section that accommodates the reel attached to the bottom section of the rod. All told, super happy with my purchase and incredibly surprised with the early success.

At 58 years old, I have always wanted to fly fish but never got around to it. I decided to take a stab at it and didn't know where to start. Knowing practically nothing, I decided to go with a kit and this package is absolutely perfect. You don't know what you don't know, and Ventures Fly Co. knows you don't know, so they do the thinking for you. Totally new to fly fishing so glad it had all the stuff needed plus the the right flies for fishing. I would not have known the right flies to catch fish with. I would rather have the rod case that I could leave the reel on the first section for storage, the one in the package is a good one still.

Hadn't touched fly fishing equipment in over 15 years. I was taken back back the packing, presentation, overall feel, and insight/support that is provided for a "born again" newbie when it comes to fly fishing. It doesn't come with a bunch of fluff just to sell the toe dipper package, all useful materials for a beginners and more. Would highly recommend! Will be a frequent customer of Ventures Fly Co.

I recently purchased the Weekend Warrior package. Years ago I bought a Cabela's branded fly rod and reel for about the same price. It was time to get a new fly rod and pass my old one on to my son. I have been so impressed with the new fly rod from Ventures Fly Co. It's a significantly better rod and better reel than my old Cabela's rod. And for the same price, I got a full fishing package that also included the fly line, backer, leaders, tippets, 100+ flies, sling pack, net, and all the little extras you need to fish. Huge value - I highly recommend it!!

Had issues with the leaders and Tippets snapping. I contacted the Venture’s folks and they TOTALLY stood up and made it right. They are sending me new leaders flies and…. A hat.Totally impressed with their customer service support. Totally recommend purchasing from this company.Thank you Alex.
