The thermometer works very well. The range is fantastic. It is nice to just plug it in and walk away from the meat for a while. We used this when we cooked a London Broil a few days ago. The "rare" "medium" and "well" settings are close to being exact, which pleasantly surprised me.Many people said it was a "gift box", but it is more of a cardboard box with some black foam. Wasn't incredibly fancy, but better than the vacuum packaging you can't open!I ordered Amazon Prime so it got here quick!Note- buy batteries if you want to use it right away! I believe it takes 4 AAA (2 for unit, 2 for receiver)

Works very easy. We had a bit of an issue with one of the probes. I emailed JMR and heard back from them within thirty minutes. They are sending a new probe as soon as they are in stock. My husband loves this thermometer because it is easy to read and use. We had a different brand that was more hassle than it was worth. Our grill in near our shop that is about 75 feet from our house and it works great. We get great reception. We are thrilled with this item... and the price was right!

Crapped out after the 2nd use. And dummy me didn't notice the return window was only one month after purchase. No one to blame but myself as it stopped working within that window...I just didn't send it back in time. Buyer beware! This piece of junk was a total waste of $35!!!!!!!

Does everything I wanted and I use it every time I BBQ. Would recommend to others. I feel sad that a review has to have a given amount of words. Please don't send me anymore reviews.

Our prime rib for Christmas day was fabulous and I and my husband give a great deal of credit for that because of the Digital Meat Thermometer!!!

I received this for a Christmas gift and used it to cook our Christmas prime rib. I've had a few different thermometers over the years and this is the best one by far. Big display and simple to use..

There was no battery back to the base unit. They actually forgot to put one in. I hope this is not a precurser to it's performance.

Bought as a present for a family member who absolutely loves the accuracy and the freedom it allows while smoking different meat's.
